ONE TOUCH VIDEO DEVICE

A video device includes a base unit; a network interface; a handheld receiver communicatively coupled to the base unit; a graphical user interface (GUI) positioned on the base unit, the GUI being configured to sense a touch of a user; and at least one processor housed in the base unit, the at least one processor configured to initiate, over the network interface, a call with at least one other participant responsive to a single touch by the user on a region of the GUI; display, on the GUI, at least one first video stream from the at least one other participant; and stream, to the handheld receiver, an audio component of the at least one first video stream from the at least one other participant.

Graphical user interfaces including touchpad driving interfaces for telemedicine devices

The present disclosure describes various aspects of remote presence interfaces (RPIs) for use on portable electronic devices (PEDs) to interface with remote presence devices. An RPI may allow a user to interact with a telepresence device, view a live video feed, provide navigational instructions, and/or otherwise interact with the telepresence device. The RPI may allow a user to manually, semi-autonomously, or autonomously control the movement of the telepresence device. One or more panels associated with a video feed, patient data, calendars, date, time, telemetry data, PED data, telepresence device data, healthcare facility information, healthcare practitioner information, menu tabs, settings controls, and/or other features may be utilized via the RPI.

Video Communication Method and Video Communications Apparatus
20220377278 · 2022-11-24 ·

A video communication method and associated apparatus and program are adapted for detecting an operation of starting a first application, where the first application controls a video collection device to perform video collection. The first application begins in a started state, displaying a home page of the first application and a video communication button on a display interface of the video communications device. At least one contact is displayed in response to a triggering operation performed on the video communication button, a first contact is determined in response to a user selection, and video communication with the first contact is established.

Interactive and shared surfaces

The interactive and shared surface technique described herein employs hardware that can project on any surface, capture color video of that surface, and get depth information of and above the surface while preventing visual feedback (also known as video feedback, video echo, or visual echo). The technique provides N-way sharing of a surface using video compositing. It also provides for automatic calibration of hardware components, including calibration of any projector, RGB camera, depth camera and any microphones employed by the technique. The technique provides object manipulation with physical, visual, audio, and hover gestures and interaction between digital objects displayed on the surface and physical objects placed on or above the surface. It can capture and scan the surface in a manner that captures or scans exactly what the user sees, which includes both local and remote objects, drawings, annotations, hands, and so forth.

Interactive exercise apparatus

An interactive exercise apparatus for allowing a user to invite a friend to join an exercise class includes a mirror display device, a communication module and a control unit. The mirror display device has a mirror configured to reflect an image of the user and a display device configured to display video content which includes an instructor image demonstrating an exercise in the exercise class. The communication module is configured to interconnect with another interactive exercise apparatus of the friend via a network. The control unit is configured to control display content and is operable to control the mirror display device to display the instructor image and a real-time image of the friend to the user. Specifically, the instructor image, the image of the friend and the image of the user reflected by the mirror are shown simultaneously on the mirror display device during the exercise class.

Management of controlled-environment facility resident image and/or background during video visitation

Information associated with a controlled-environment facility resident communications and/or data device, such as device location within the controlled-environment facility, may be used to determine whether the resident device is approved for two-way video visitation or restricted to on-way video visitation. Video visitation may be initiated and voice and video captured and streamed by a non-resident communications and/or data device, as well as voice and/or video captured and streamed by the resident device, is received by a controlled-environment facility electronic communications management system. Voice and video captured at the non-resident device is transmitted to the resident device and, if the resident device is permitted two-way video visitation, voice and video captured by the resident device is transmitted to the non-resident device, if the resident device is restricted to one-way video visitation, only voice is transmitted to the non-resident device.

SYSTEM FOR ILLUMINATING THE FACE OF AN OCCUPANT IN A CAR
20230055583 · 2023-02-23 ·

A system is provided for illuminating the face of an occupant for a video call in a car. At least one light source has a main light emission direction (A) which is directed toward the face of the occupant. The system also includes a camera provided to record the face of the occupant. The system controls the light source in such a way to obtain a flickering free recording of the face of the occupant.

Information processing apparatus, information processing method, and program

There is provided an information processing apparatus including a display control section that controls a second display device present in a second space. The second display device displays a first captured image obtained by imaging at least one or more first users present in a first space. The display control section superimposes and displays a second user object on the first captured image in accordance with line-of-sight relevant information of each of the first users. The second user object corresponds to each of at least one or more second users present in the second space. This makes it possible to achieve more realistic communication.
