ADJUSTING PARTICIPANT GAZE IN VIDEO CONFERENCES

Methods and systems for applying gaze adjustment techniques to participants in a video conference are disclosed. Some examples may include: receiving, at computing system, image adjustment information associated with a video stream including images of a first participant, identifying, for a display layout of a communication application, a location displaying the images of the first participant, determining, based on the received image adjustment information, a location displaying images of a second participant for the display layout, the received image adjustment information indicating that an eye gaze of the first participant being directed toward the second participant, computing an eye gaze direction of the first participant based on the location displaying images of the second participant, generating gaze-adjusted images based on the desired eye gaze direction of the first participant and replacing the images within the video stream with the gaze-adjusted images.

MULTI-CAMERA AUTOMATIC FRAMING

A videoconferencing system includes different cameras with different fields-of-view (FOVs). Frames of images acquired by these cameras may be processed to determine states, such as number of users present, talking, and so forth. Based on these states, frames from one camera may be selected to send to a far site. If the two states indicate no change in camera source from a first time to a second time, the current frame from the first camera that is sent to the far site is followed by another frame from the same camera. If the two states indicate a change in camera source from the first time to the second time, the current frame from the first camera that is sent to the far site is followed by a frame from the different camera. Depending on the two states and the cameras used, different transition effects may be applied to improve presentation.

OPTIMIZING MEDIA EXPERIENCE IN CONFERENCING WITH DIVERSE PARTICIPANTS

Participant systems in an audiovisual (AV) conferencing can, in one embodiment, use methods to ensure that all participants have a common platform to support AV conferencing, such as a common codec, and also attempt to provide higher quality AV conferencing (e.g., better than the common codec) based on available bandwidth and other criteria. The participant systems can use the common codec as a fallback platform when bandwidth or other criteria dictate a reduction in the quality of the AV conferencing. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

GATEWAYING OF CONFERENCE CALLS TO BROWSER-BASED CONFERENCES
20220385856 · 2022-12-01 · ·

Systems and methods for interconnecting point-to-point (P2P) (i.e. SIP/H323) and web browser compatible video conferencing services. The conference platform gatewaying service may use a virtual web browser participant to send and/or receive video and/or audio over VoIP/Video standards, such as SIP/H323 or other point-to-point protocols into a web browser compatible conference by means of a virtual web browser participant. The conference platform gateway service may create a binding between a SIP address and a web meeting URL. When communication is initiated from a compatible peer device to the gateway/server by means of a point-to-point protocol, the gateway/server establishes a connection to the web-based conference using the binding between URI and URL, and establishes a connection between the Point-to-point and Web browser compatible meeting service.

Routing visual content from different camera systems to different applications during video call

Visual content from different camera systems is concurrently routed to different applications during video call. A first application (e.g., a video call application) receives visual content from a first camera system while in a video call. The user can request to activate a second application, such as a photography application that allows the user to capture and display, store, or otherwise process visual content. A visual content routing system routes visual content captured by a second camera system (e.g., a rear facing camera system) to the second application concurrently with routing visual content captured by the first camera system (e.g., a front facing camera system) to the first application.

Representation and compression of gallery view for video conferencing

The development of a region of interest (ROI) video frame that includes only ROIs of interest and not other elements and providing the ROI video frames in a single video stream simplifies the development of gallery view continuous presence displays. ROI position and size information metadata can be provided or subpicture concepts of the particular codec can be used to separate the ROIs in the ROI video frame. Metadata can provide perspective/distortion correction values, speaker status and any other information desired about the participant or other ROI, such as name. Only a single encoder and a single decoder is needed, simplifying both transmitting and receiving endpoints. Only a single video stream is needed, reducing bandwidth requirements. As each participant can be individually isolated, the participants can be provided in similar sizes and laid out as desired in a continuous presence display that is pleasing to view.

INFORMATION INTERACTION METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

Disclosed are an information interaction method and apparatus, and an electronic device. One specific embodiment of the method comprises: in response to a user logging in to a live interface initiated based on a multimedia conference, displaying a live data stream of the multimedia conference in the live interface initiated based on the multimedia conference, wherein the live data stream is generated on the basis of an interactive data stream of a participating user of the multimedia conference; receiving interactive content input by the user on the basis of the live data stream, and generating interactive information according to the interactive content; and sending the interactive information to a serving end, so as to instruct the serving end to send the interactive information to a terminal device that displays the live interface. The communication efficiency of information related to the content of a multimedia conference is thus improved.

INTERACTION METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

Embodiments of the present invention disclose an interaction method and apparatus, and an electronic device. In a specific embodiment, the method comprises: displaying a stream pushing acknowledgement control; and sending stream pushing acknowledgement information to a server in response to detection of a trigger operation for the stream pushing acknowledgement control, wherein the server sends, in response to reception of the stream pushing acknowledgement information, a live stream generated according to a multimedia conference stream to a target stream pushing address specified by a participant. Hence, a new interaction mode can be provided.
