Mower Knife Device
The present disclosure relates to a mower knife device with a knife bar and a dual blade cutting system. The dual blade cutting system includes an upper cutting knife and a lower cutting knife designed to be movable relative to one another. The upper cutting knife is connected to the knife bar by means of an upper retaining device. The lower cutting knife is connected to the knife bar by means of a lower retaining device. The upper retaining device is mounted on the knife bar by means of a guide bushing. A preloaded tension spring is arranged inside the guide bushing. The tensile force of the tension spring is designed to apply a contact pressure of the upper cutting knife to the lower cutting knife via the upper retaining device.

Blade for sickle cutter system
In a sickle cutting system, it has been found that a significant reduction in average stubble length, which is calculated based on the distance crop is pushed forwardly without cutting occurring, can be obtained by a combination of features where the length of the cutting edge of each knife blade is increased to a length greater than 2.2 inches; the width at the rear of the ledger surface of each guard is increased to greater than 1.2 inches; and the front edge of the blade is formed with an apex to shed crop material to one or other side of the apex. Each blade has at least one cut out opening through the blade extending from a rear edge of the opening adjacent to but spaced from a rear edge of the blade toward the tip.

Stub Guard for a Sickle Cutter System
In a sickle cutting system, including a plurality of guard fingers in a row across a cutter bar with each guard finger having an upwardly facing ledger surface and a plurality of hold-down members with each hold-down member comprising at least one hold-down finger, the guard fingers and hold down fingers thus forming cooperating overlying pairs between which the blades pass in the cutting action the guard fingers having no portion elevated above the ledger surface thereof in front of the tip of the blade and the guard fingers and blades having lengths from the cutter bar arranged such that a forwardmost tip of the guard finger is forward of the tip of the blade.

Adjustable hold-down assembly for a sickle cutter system
A sickle cutting apparatus includes a plurality of triple finger knife guards which are arranged side by side along the cutter bar to cooperate with a reciprocating sickle bar carrying a row of double blade knife sections and a set of hold-down members carrying hold-down fingers. The hold-down members are arranged alternately as a single finger and double finger with each hold-down member being connected to the cutter bar in association with a respective triple guard. In this way the hold-down fingers are arranged at alternate guard fingers leaving the intervening guard fingers open. The system includes both pointed guards with no tang and stub guard so that the user can select either to be used with the hold-downs. The hold down fingers are all individually adjustable so that the double hold-down have two adjustment screws which can be individually operated causing flexing of the bridge between the double fingers.

Header with flexible cutter bar assembly
A header for harvesting agricultural crops includes a cutter bar assembly coupled to a header frame, the cutter bar assembly flexible upwardly and downwardly relative to the header frame between opposite ends thereof for contouring to the field. The cutter bar assembly includes a guard bar extending across a front portion of the header frame between the opposite ends thereof, the guard bar split into at least a first lateral section and a second lateral section operatively coupled at a guard bar joint. A protruding element extending from the first lateral section is received by a receiving element on the second lateral section at the guard bar joint to horizontally align the first and second lateral sections of the guard bar between the opposite ends of the header frame while allowing relative lateral movement therebetween during upward and downward flexing of the cutter bar assembly.
