System and method for presenting virtual reality content to a user
This disclosure describes a system configured to present primary and secondary, tertiary, etc., virtual reality content to a user. Primary virtual reality content may be displayed to a user, and, responsive to the user turning his view away from the primary virtual reality content, a sensory cue is provided to the user that indicates to the user that his view is no longer directed toward the primary virtual reality content, and secondary, tertiary, etc., virtual reality content may be displayed to the user. Primary virtual reality content may resume when the user returns his view to the primary virtual reality content. Primary virtual reality content may be adjusted based on a user's interaction with the secondary, tertiary, etc., virtual reality content. Secondary, tertiary, etc., virtual reality content may be adjusted based on a user's progression through the primary virtual reality content, or interaction with the primary virtual reality content.
Transmitter, transmission method, receiver, and reception method
An association with a system timing at the time of transmission is secured without changing a display timing in text information of a subtitle, and a reception side displays the subtitle at an appropriate timing. A packet in which a document of the text information of the subtitle having display timing information is included in a payload is generated and transmitted in synchronization with a sample period. A header of the packet includes a time stamp on a first time axis indicating a start time of the corresponding sample period. The payload of the packet further includes reference time information of a second time axis regarding the display timing associated with the start time of the corresponding sample period.
Systems and methods for previewing newly captured image content and reviewing previously stored image content
A device includes a touch-screen display and a lens on a same side of the device as the touch-screen display. The device concurrently displays a live preview of content in a field of view of the lens and a capture affordance for capturing media corresponding to the field of view of the lens. While concurrently displaying the live preview and the capture affordance, the device detects an input corresponding to selection of the capture affordance displayed on the touch-screen display that is on the same side of the device as the lens. In response to detecting the input corresponding to selection of the capture affordance displayed on the touch-screen display that is on the same side of the device as the lens, the device captures media corresponding to the field of view of the lens that is on the same side of the device as the touch-screen display.
METHOD OF AND APPARATUS FOR SIMULTANEOUSLY DISPLAYING VIDEO INPUT ALONG WITH SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION
One aspect of the invention includes an apparatus that simultaneously displays the video input and supplementary information, having a video overlay device, and a network management module, a removable storage device and a display device coupled to the video overlay device. The network management module includes a computer or a cloud server for uploading, via network, and controlling supplementary information. The video overlay device includes a central processing unit, and a video input processing unit, a video output processing unit and local memory coupled to the central processing unit. Under a control of the central processing unit, the supplementary information is obtained from the network management module, an email sent from the network management module, or removable storage devices, and is subsequently stored in the local memory, processed and displayed in a display device.

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for generating a video clip and associated closed-captioning (CC) data. An example method involves accessing a first video clip demarcated into frames; accessing CC data demarcated into CC blocks, identifying a starting frame from among the frames; determining a first set of frames that are within a range of the starting frame; determining a first set of CC blocks that correlate to the first set of frames; receiving a selection of a starting position from among the first set of CC blocks; identifying an ending frame among the frames; using the ending frame to identify an ending position; and generating a second video clip and associated CC data, wherein the second video clip includes the frames spanning from the starting frame to the ending frame, and wherein the generated CC data includes the CC blocks spanning from the starting position to the ending position.

The present invention relates to a method and system for providing a 4D content production service and a content production apparatus therefor. The system for providing a 4D content production service includes: a terminal device configured to transmit content source including at least one of a picture, text and video, synopsis information and video time information and video time information, to receive content and special effect codes, to select a special effect code corresponding to each play interval of the content and to transmit special effect selection information indicating selected special effect codes; and a content production apparatus configured to produce content using the content source on the basis of the synopsis information and video time information received from the terminal device, to transmit the produced content and special effect codes to the terminal device, to receive the special effect selection information from the terminal device and to generate 4D content using the special effect selection information. According to the present invention, a business proprietor can promote business expansion and improve the image of business and a user can produce 4D content by directly participating in content selection and production.
PLAYBACK SYSTEM FOR VIDEO WITH REPLACEABLE COMMODITIES
A playback system for video with replaceable commodities includes a video server and a computer program product. The video server includes a video database, a commodity database and an image processing module. The video database stores one or more source videos, each of which includes at least one embedded segment having a plurality of continuous frames with an identical partial area. The commodities database includes at least one 3D commodity model. The image processing module superimposes the 3D commodity model on the partial area of the frames of the embedded segment of the source videos to form at least one composed video. The computer program product is loaded by an end device so as to connect to the video server for playing the composed video.
Method and apparatus for reproducing content
A method of displaying information on a terminal, the method including: receiving a message from another terminal during reproduction of content; assigning a part of a screen of the terminal for displaying information related to the message based on a priority order of the message; and displaying the information related to the message on the assigned part of the screen during the reproduction of the content which is being displayed on the rest of the screen.
