A height control system for a front harvesting attachment, comprising a frame, at least one crop pick-up device, and a ground-conforming cutterbar which is situated on a plurality of supporting arms that can pivot about a horizontal axis and are articulated on the frame. The supporting arms can be pivoted, originating from a desired position to be set before the start of a harvesting operation, between an upper end position, which delimits a deflection of the supporting arms in the direction of the crop pick-up device, and a lower end position, wherein the upper end position has a first clearance and the lower end position has a second clearance from the desired position, wherein the desired position can be adapted, during the harvesting operation, to changing harvesting conditions and/or operating conditions depending on a deflection of the cutterbar, in order to minimize the first clearance and maximize the second clearance.

The controller is configured to monitor a location of the work machine, process the signal from the sensor unit to monitor the characteristic, determine whether the characteristic exceeds an acceptable range, and if so, identify an event, and assign a location to the event.

A support system for an agricultural header includes a first actuator configured to couple to a frame of the agricultural header and to a first element of the agricultural header. The support system also includes a second actuator configured to couple to the frame of the agricultural header and to a second element of the agricultural header. Furthermore, the support system includes a third actuator configured to couple to the frame of the agricultural header and to the second element of the agricultural header. The support system also includes a fluid supply system configured to provide pressurized fluid to the first actuator and to the second actuator. The third actuator is fluidly isolated from the fluid supply system, the first actuator, and the second actuator.

A controller receives input from sensors so as to monitor: a header drive demand value, a wheel drive demand value, an engine load value, and/or an engine RPM value for comparisons to acceptable threshold range to vary the target throttle value if outside of one of the ranges. The controller can also vary the displacement of the wheel drive pump and/or the wheel drive motor in response to variation of the target throttle value to maintain ground speed.

A harvester is provided with a draper head that has a frame extending substantially across a working width of the draper head. Cutting elements are arranged at a front side of the draper head and connected to the frame. Conveying surfaces and conveying members transport cut crop from the cutting elements to a discharge location of the draper head. A reel extends transversely to a working direction of the draper head across the working width of the draper head. Reel support arms are pivotably supported on the frame and support the reel. A hydraulic adjusting drive is operatively connected to the reel support arms to pivot the reel support arms to carry out a height adjustment of the reel. A hydraulic circuit is operatively connected to the hydraulic adjusting drive and has a hydraulic valve that is able to lock the hydraulic circuit.

The height adjustment apparatus comprises a terrain contact element that can be positioned to contact a terrain surface such that the contact element supports the operational unit at a vertical separation distance of the operational unit above the terrain surface. The height adjustment apparatus can adjust the vertical separation distance of the operational unit above the terrain surface. A shock absorbing assembly is operationally positioned between the main frame and the terrain contact element and provides for resilient deformation in response to forces transmitted during operation to the terrain contact element, from contact with the terrain surface. The shock absorbing assembly may absorb and/or cushion forces imparted to a component of the height adjustment apparatus.
