Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and storage medium
Provided is an image processing apparatus including: a virtual viewpoint image generating unit that generates a virtual viewpoint image which is a video, based on captured images captured by image capturing apparatuses from different directions; an electronic sign information obtaining unit that obtains information indicating a timing at which a content displayed on an electronic sign changes, the electronic sign being contained in the virtual viewpoint image and configured to change the content to be displayed on a time basis; and a control unit that performs control to cause a display unit to display the virtual viewpoint image having a virtual content inserted, the virtual content being a content that is virtual and not contained in the captured images. Based on the information, the control unit controls how the virtual content is displayed on the virtual viewpoint image.
MULTIPLEXED MUTLI-VIEW SCANNING AERIAL CAMERAS
A scanning camera for capturing images along two or more curved scan paths, the scanning camera comprising a camera assembly associated with each scan path, each camera assembly comprising an image sensor and a lens; a scanning mirror; and a drive coupled to the scanning mirror; wherein the drive is operative to rotate the scanning mirror about a spin axis according to a spin angle; the spin axis is tilted relative to each camera optical axis; the scanning mirror is tilted relative to the spin axis and each camera optical axis; the scanning mirror is positioned to reflect an imaging beam into each lens in turn; and each image sensor is operative to capture each image along a respective one of the scan paths by sampling the imaging beam at a corresponding spin angle.

Bird or bat detection and identification for wind turbine risk mitigation
An automated system for mitigating risk from a wind turbine includes a plurality of optical imaging sensors. A controller receives and analyzes images from the optical imaging sensors to automatically send a signal to curtail operation of the wind turbine to a predetermined risk mitigating level when the controller determines from images received from the optical imaging sensors that an airborne animal is at risk from the wind turbine.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL RECONSTRUCTION OF AN OBJECT WITH REDUCED DISTORTION
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for generating a three-dimensional reconstruction of an object with reduced distortion are described. In some aspects, a system includes at least two image sensors, at least two projectors, and a processor. Each image sensor is configured to capture one or more images of an object. Each projector is configured to illuminate the object with an associated optical pattern and from a different perspective. The processor is configured to perform the acts of receiving, from each image sensor, for each projector, images of the object illuminated with the associated optical pattern and generating, from the received images, a three-dimensional reconstruction of the object. The three-dimensional reconstruction has reduced distortion due to the received images of the object being generated when each projector illuminates the object with an associated optical pattern from the different perspective.

Image processing apparatus, control method for an image processing apparatus, and medium
A reduction in quality of a virtual viewpoint image is suppressed. An image processing apparatus specifies an image in which a specific position in a target object is not occluded by another object from among a plurality of images obtained by the plurality of imaging apparatuses based on a pixel value of the plurality of images; determines, based on the specified image, a value of a pixel corresponding to the specific position in the virtual viewpoint image to be generated based on the plurality of images; and generates the virtual viewpoint image including the target object based on the determined value of the pixel.
FREE-VIEWPOINT METHOD AND SYSTEM
Methods and/or apparatus provide for obtaining intrinsics and extrinsics of a plurality of cameras arranged to capture a scene and based thereon, generate a voxel representation of the scene; obtaining extrinsics and intrinsics of a virtual camera; mapping the extrinsics and intrinsics of the virtual camera to at least one voxel surface defined in a data structure and to identify at least one camera pair suitable for obtaining depth data for that voxel surface based on the corresponding camera pair identifier; and receiving an input from the mapping unit, and in response obtaining images captured by the cameras in the at least one camera pair identified as being suitable for reconstructing the scene from the viewpoint of the virtual camera, and to generate an image of the scene from the viewpoint of the virtual camera based on the obtained images.
