Electronic device and method of controlling electronic device
An electronic device comprising: an acquisition unit configured to acquire an image set including a first image and a second image which have parallax from each other; and a control unit configured to perform control such that 1) in a case of a first display mode where the first image is to be displayed without displaying the second image, the first image is displayed on a display with an orientation of the first image being corrected to be directed to be in a predetermined orientation, and 2) in a case of a second display mode where both the first image and the second image are to be displayed, the first image and the second image are displayed on the display without an orientation of the first image and the second image being corrected to be directed to be in the predetermined orientation.
Methods and systems for reprojection in augmented-reality displays
Methods and systems are provided for a reprojection engine for augmented-reality devices. The augmented-reality device projects virtual content within a real-world environment. The augmented-reality device tracks a six degrees of freedom headpose of the augmented-reality device, depth information of the virtual content, motion vectors that correspond to movement of the virtual content, and a color buffer for a reprojection engine. The reprojection engine generates a reprojection of the virtual content defined by an extrapolation of a first frame using the headpose, the depth information, motion vectors, and the color surface data structure. The reprojected virtual content continues to appear as if positioned with the real-world environment regardless of changes in the headpose of the augmented-reality device or motion of the virtual content.
Image processing apparatus that performs processing concerning display of stereoscopic image, image processing method, and storage medium
An image processing apparatus that performs processing concerning the display of a stereoscopic image so as to improve the convenience of a user in viewing a stereoscopic image. A head mount display displays a stereoscopic image using image data including a plurality of images having different viewpoints. The image data is processed based on metadata attached to the image data. In a case where information indicating that the image data is associated with a file format which cannot cause the head mount display to perform display is included in the metadata, the image data is converted into a file format which can cause the head mount display to perform display.

VIDEO PASS-THROUGH COMPUTING SYSTEM
A video pass-through computing system includes a head-mounted display device including a display, a camera configured to image a physical scene according to an exposure timing, and an augmented reality control circuit configured to receive a virtual image pixel stream and composite the camera image pixel stream with the virtual image pixel stream to generate a display image pixel stream output to the display, and if a corresponding pixel of the camera image pixel stream is not in temporal synchronization with a pixel of the virtual image pixel stream adjust the exposure timing of the camera.

EXTENDED FIELD-OF-VIEW NEAR-TO-EYE WEARABLE DISPLAY
An extended field-of-view near-to-eye display system provides for AR/MR image viewing over about a 180° FOV. The display system may include a multiplicity of display panels per eye of a user and may include both high- and low-resolution display capabilities. The high-resolution displays may be positioned in front of the user's eyes in their primary visual field while the low-resolution displays may be positioned so as to be seen by the user's peripheral vision. The low-resolution displays provide cueing information to the user out to the limit of visual perception (for each eye), placing encoded light and movement in the periphery of the user's vision for enhanced situational awareness.
Head-mounted display
There is provided a head-mounted display comprising an image generator that generates an image, a pair of optical plates to be arranged in front of both eyes of an observer who observes the image, the pair of optical plates causing the image to be displayed, a first frame that holds the pair of optical plates, and a second frame including a to-be-fixed part, in which a fixing part to which the to-be-fixed part is fixed is provided at the central part of the first frame in the horizontal direction.

METHODS FOR DISPLAYING USER INTERFACE ELEMENTS RELATIVE TO MEDIA CONTENT
In some embodiments, a computer system displays a caption for a media item at different depths depending on the depth of the portion of the media item over which the caption is displayed. In some embodiments, a computer system displays a user interface element that includes information associated with the media item at different locations relative to the media item depending on attention of the user. In some embodiments, a computer system displays a user interface element that includes information associated with the media item with different visual appearances depending on visual characteristics of the portion of the media item over which the user interface element is displayed.
