A METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR REDUCING CROSSTALK OF AUTO STEREOSCOPIC DISPLAYS
The disclosure describes a method, apparatus and system for reducing crosstalk of auto-stereoscopic displays using higher resolution panels. In such panels, a fraction of a total number of views is generated by sending a same signal on a number of adjacent views. A signal processing correcting function is applied to the fractioned views to reduce crosstalk.
Light Field Display System Based Amusement Park Attraction
A light filed (LF) display system for displaying holographic content to viewers in an amusement park (e.g., as part of an amusement park ride). The LF display system in an amusement park includes LF display modules tiled together to form an array of LF modules. In some embodiments, the LF display system includes a tracking system and/or a viewer profiling module. The tracking system and viewer profiling module can monitor and store characteristics of viewers on the amusement park ride, a viewer profile describing a viewer, and/or responses of viewers to the holographic content during the amusement park ride. The holographic content created for display on an amusement park ride can be based on any of the monitored or stored information.
UNIDIRECTIONAL GRATING-BASED BACKLIGHTING EMPLOYING AN ANGULARLY SELECTIVE REFLECTIVE LAYER
Unidirectional grating-based backlighting includes a light guide and a diffraction grating at a surface of the light guide. The light guide is to guide a light beam and the diffraction grating is configured to couple out a portion of the guided light beam using diffractive coupling and to direct the coupled-out portion away from the light guide as a primary light beam at a principal angular direction. The diffraction grating is to further produce a secondary light beam directed into the light guide at an opposite one of the principal angular direction. The unidirectional grating-based backlighting further includes an angularly selective reflective layer within the light guide adjacent to the light guide surface that is configured to reflectively redirect the diffractively produced, secondary light beam out of the light guide in the direction of the primary light beam.
MULTI-VIEW 3D DISPLAY APPARATUS
The present invention relates to a multi-view three-dimensional (3D) display apparatus including a display panel in which pixels (or subpixels) outputting an image are arranged and a parallax barrier disposed on a front surface of the display panel and including a plurality of apertures, wherein the apertures of the parallax barrier are set according to a Fresnel number.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing apparatus is communicable with a user terminal operated by a user. The information processing apparatus includes circuitry. The circuitry transmits, to the user terminal, virtual space data according to which the user terminal displays a second virtual space to be called from a first virtual space. The circuitry acquires, according to an operation performed by the user on a particular object in the second virtual space, information for responding to the operation performed on the particular object from a cooperation apparatus associated with the particular object. The circuitry performs processing for responding to the operation performed on the particular object based on the information acquired from the cooperation apparatus.
