A stereoscopic image generation box, a stereoscopic image display method and a stereoscopic image display system are provided. The stereoscopic image generation box includes an image receiving and detecting unit, a depth information analysis unit, an image processing unit, a synthesis unit and a data transmission unit. The image receiving and detecting unit is used for receiving a two-dimensional image from an image source. The depth information analysis unit is used for obtaining a depth information according to the two-dimensional image. The image processing unit is used for converting the two-dimensional image into a left-eye image and a right-eye image according to the depth information. The synthesizing unit is used for synthesizing the left-eye image and the right-eye image to generate a stereoscopic image. The data transmission unit is used for outputting the stereoscopic image to a display, so that the display can directly display the stereoscopic image.
Systems and methods for machine perception
A system to determine a position of one or more objects includes a transmitter to emit a beam of photons to sequentially illuminate regions of one or more objects; multiple cameras that are spaced-apart with each camera having an array of pixels to detect photons; and one or more processor devices that execute stored instructions to perform actions of a method, including: directing the transmitter to sequentially illuminate regions of one or more objects with the beam of photons; for each of the regions, receiving, from the cameras, an array position of each pixel that detected photons of the beam reflected or scattered by the region of the one or more objects; and, for each of the regions detected by the cameras, determining a position of the regions using the received array positions of the pixels that detected the photons of the beam reflected or scattered by that region.

LOW COST HUD USING STEREO AND HEAD TRACKING
A system for displaying a stereo image is disclosed. The system includes a stereoscopic head up display (HUD) that includes a combiner and a display configured to display a stereo image. The system further includes either a head tracking sensor or an eye tracking sensor configured to generate a tracking dataset. The system further includes a processor and a memory with instructions that cause the processor to receive the tracking dataset, generate a distortion map based on the tracking dataset and a distortion function, receive a media stereo image, generate a stereo signal based on the distortion map and the media stereo image, and transmit the stereo signal to the display. The system is capable of conveying an image to an operator in the absence of a relay lens.

Positional zero latency
Based on viewing tracking data, a viewer's view direction to a three-dimensional (3D) scene depicted by a first video image is determined. The first video image has been streamed in a video stream to the streaming client device before the first time point and rendered with the streaming client device to the viewer at the first time point. Based on the viewer's view direction, a target view portion is identified in a second video image to be streamed in the video stream to the streaming client device to be rendered at a second time point subsequent to the first time point. The target view portion is encoded into the video stream with a higher target spatiotemporal resolution than that used to encode remaining non-target view portions in the second video image.
