Line-type trimmer head with manual replacement of the line without opening
A line(F)-type trimmer head (1) is described, configured to rotate around a rotation axis (A-A) and comprising a housing (3) composed of at least one first housing portion (5) and one second housing portion (7), which can be torsionally and axially coupled to one another and which form a volume for a stock of cutting line (F). The second housing portion comprises at least one first passage (31), transverse with respect to the rotation axis of the trimmer head, with a first end and a second end configured and arranged so as to be positioned in correspondence of the two exit holes (9) for the cutting line, so that a cutting line can be inserted through one exit hole and extracted from the other exit hole, passing along the first transverse passage.
STRAND TRIMMER
A strand trimmer and method of use thereof. The strand trimmer includes a pair of pivotable arms each having a motor, a follower wheel, and a cutter-spindle assembly disposed thereon. The arms are biased toward one another and are guided by the follower wheels to pivot around obstacles passing between the arms. The motor rotates the cutter-spindle assembly to move cutting strands extending therefrom through a cutting path with sufficient rotational velocity to cut vegetation. The cutter-spindle assembly includes a reloadable spool and a strand-feed mechanism. The strand-feed mechanism includes a solenoid actuated plunger within a shaft of the cutter-spindle assembly which operates to non-contactingly actuate the plunger to feed out a length of strand. The solenoid is non-rotatably carried on the trimmer arm while the shaft of the cutter-spindle assembly is encircled by and rotated within the solenoid.
Grass trimmer and cord delivering method of grass trimmer
The invention provides a grass trimmer and a cord delivering method for a grass trimmer, the grass trimmer comprises an extending rod, an housing, a grass trimming head, a handle, a main motor and a main switch, wherein the grass trimming head comprises a base, a cap and a spool having a first state relative static with the base, and the grass trimmer further comprises a cord delivering mechanism; the cord delivering mechanism comprises a cord delivering electronic switch independent of the main switch and a control device; and the cord delivering electronic switch operably electrically controls the control device to enable the spool to be in a second state capable of generating a rotary speed difference with the base. An operator does not need to interrupt work of the grass trimmer and can timely pay off required and the cord delivering operation is simple and convenient.
CUTTING BLADE HOLDER
A cutting blade holder holding a string-shaped cutting blade is provided with a main body portion rotationally driven by a driving source, a hook row having a plurality of hook portions which are each capable of anchoring the cutting blade and which are provided on an outer peripheral surface of the main body portion at intervals in a rotation direction of the main body portion, and a guide portion provided rearward of the hook row in the rotation direction and directing the cutting blade outward in a radial direction of the main body portion.
BALANCED HOUSING CONSTRUCTION FOR FLEXIBLE LINE TRIMMER HEAD
A housing having a rotary axis and configured to support at least one radially projecting cutting component that effects cutting as the housing is turned around the rotary axis. The housing has a first housing part with a first wall and a plurality of discrete circumferentially spaced cavities in the first wall and each having a volume. The volumes of at least a first and second of the cavities respectively at first and second locations are different and strategically selected to cause a mass distribution on the housing that contributes to improved dynamic balancing of the housing as the housing is turned around the rotary axis.
Balanced housing construction for flexible line trimmer head and apparatus for forming the housing
An apparatus for forming a first component making up at least a part of a housing on a trimmer head and a method of using the apparatus. The housing has a rotary axis and is configured to support at least one radially projecting cutting component. The first component has a central axis. A forming unit defines at least one cavity within which a moldable material is confined to produce at least a part of a wall on the first component that extends around the rotary axis. The forming unit is configured to allow selective controlling of a quantity of a moldable material introduced into a first discrete subvolume at a first location in the one cavity to thereby allow selective controlling of a mass of a portion of the at least part of the wall formed by the moldable material in the one cavity at the first location to facilitate dynamic balancing of the housing, within which the first component is incorporated, with respect to the rotary axis.
Combination blade and cord weed cutter-trimmer head device
A combination blade and cord weed cutter-trimmer head apparatus that incorporates a mounting head, having a base plate, that mounts an electric or gas motor, its motor shaft extending downwardly, and through an adapter connects with generally through the cutter blade, with the shaft extending further downwardly for connecting with the string trimmer head of the device. Thus, the device can cut thicker weeds and brush through the application of its cutter blade, and can cut the shortened weeds down to an acceptable level through the usage of the string trimmer. Slip clutches may be incorporated within the device, to allow the motor shaft to continue rotating, in the event that the cutter blade encounters an unmovable obstacle, that prevents its rotation. In a further embodiment, the lines of the string trimmer may extend radially outwardly from the cutter blades, through integral channels provided therein, to provide simultaneous cutting at the same level by both the cutter blade, and the string trimmer, during usage. In a further embodiment, the string trimmer head may locate above the cutter blade both securing onto the motor shaft and held by the adapter to provide for cutting of both weeds and brush during usage.
