A trimmer head includes a housing rotatable about a rotational axis. The housing includes a main body defining a cavity, and a cap removably coupled to the main body. The trimmer head additionally includes a spool supported in the cavity and operable to support line to be dispensed, a retainer positioned between the housing and the spool. and a first ring protruding from a distal end of the housing.

A mower and an attachment device or mount having a frame attachment clamp to removeably affix to the wheel support frame, a pivotable linkage arrangement to position a string trimmer proximate either front wheel of the lawnmower, and a grade wheel to maintain a designated height of string trimmer above grade. The processor computes sets of amplitude and phase parameters for one or more matrices corresponding to a CSI codebook. Here, each matrix corresponds to one transmission layer of a multiple-layer transmission, where each matrix is comprised of one or more column vectors. A trimmer head has one or more pivoting line holders and includes a single unitary molded housing having at least one recessed cavity located on the upper surface which is shaped and sized to receive a pivoting line holder. The recessed cavity includes reinforcement members for securely retaining the pivoting line holder therein via insertion of a metal bearing ring which allows for free rotation of pivoting line holder about its central axis within recessed cavity.

Ergonomic gripping mechanisms of battery-operated electric cutting apparatus are provided. The electric cutting apparatus may include a cantilevered cutting head, an adjustable telescoping shaft, a rear grip portion, a pistol grip, and a forearm shaft. The adjustable telescoping shaft may be pivotally connected to the cantilevered cutting head. The rear grip portion may have a first end connected to the adjustable telescoping shaft. The pistol grip may have a first end extending at a first angle from the second end of the rear grip portion. The forearm shaft may extend from the second end of the pistol grip at a second angle. The forearm shaft may have a top side comprising a forearm pad having an exterior surface configured to receive a forearm of a user. The exterior surface of the forearm pad may be parallel to an axis defined by a longitudinal extension of the adjustable telescoping shaft.

A lawn mower (100) comprising a wheeled carriage (102) configured to carry a primary cutting tool (105) for cutting lawn, the primary cutting tool (105) being operably coupled to a primary drive system. The mower (100) also comprises a trimmer (106) operably coupled to the wheeled carriage (102), and a translation mechanism comprising a selectable static state and a selectable dynamic state. An assembly and method for extending the length of the output shaft of a string trimmer having a threaded output shaft spindle attached to a threaded spindle receiver of a mowing head is disclosed. The assembly and method includes providing a plurality of threadedly attachable shaft extensions preferably of different lengths, detaching the output shaft spindle from the threaded spindle receiver of the mowing head. Selecting a desired shaft extension from the plurality of shaft extensions and threadedly connecting the selected shaft extension to the threaded output shaft spindle and threaded spindle receiver of the mowing head. One or more shaft extensions may be connected together to create a shaft extender positioned between the output shaft spindle and the mowing head of the string trimmer.

A cutter head for a brush cutter has a base body with top base body part and bottom base body part. A screw element is arranged at the bottom base body part for attachment to an output shaft of the brush cutter. A receptacle for fastening a cutting tool is provided between top and bottom base body parts. The base body is rotatably driven in operation of the brush cutter about an axis of rotation of the base body. The top and bottom base body parts are held together by a detachable snap-on connection. The snap-on connection is positioned at a distance, measured in a radial direction, from the axis of rotation of the base body. The distance amounts to at most 40% of the cutter head diameter. For releasing the snap-on connection, the top and bottom base body parts are pulled apart from each other by a pulling force.
