Cutter head for a brushcutter
10779466 · 2020-09-22 · ·

A cutter head for a brushcutter has a base member with top and bottom base member parts and rotates about an axis of rotation in operation. The top base member part is fixed to the brushcutter shaft end. The bottom base member part is screwed by a screw element to the shaft end. A bearing element is arranged in the base member radially spaced to the axis of rotation. A cutting tool is secured by the bearing element to the base member between top and bottom base member parts. The bearing element is secured either to bottom or top base member part and arranged relative to the other one such that the bearing element is constructively unhindered to move relative to the other base member part at least circumferentially and such that the bottom base member part for mounting or demounting is rotatable relative to the top base member part.

Flexible line trimmer head

A flexible line trimmer head has a housing with first and second parts and a spool for a supply of line. The first and second housing parts are configured to be moved from a spaced relationship towards each other along an operating axis whereupon cooperating connectors engage to block movement of the first and second housing parts away from each other along the axis. The cooperating connectors are provided in pairs at at least three different locations each spaced radially from the operating axis and in a circumferential direction from the other locations.

Line trimmer and shredder apparatus

The invention is a multi-tiered line trimmer and shredder apparatus using a number of individual pre-molded or pre-cut nail head string lines. Whenever the engine or motor is running, the apparatus rotates the nail head string lines generating cutting power designed to utilize multiple functions, such as trimming grass or weeds, clearing vegetation by shredding or mulching it, or removing snow. The apparatus consists of a base, cylindrical body, nail head string lines, and cover. The base attaches to a drive shaft or directly to an engine or motor. The cylindrical body is hollow, has holes throughout its wall that may be the same or variable sizes. The nail head string lines are inserted into the holes. The cover is used to cover the cylinder body, and to secure the nail head portion of the nail head string lines within the cylindrical body while the apparatus is in use.

Trimmer heads for trimmers are provided. A trimmer head includes a drive plate defining a lug slot, and a locking lug, the locking lug movably positioned in the lug slot and movable between an unlocked position and a locked position. A trimmer head further includes a drive plate cover connectable to the drive plate such that the locking lug is disposed between the drive plate and the drive plate cover. A trimmer head farther includes at least one operational head, the at least one operational head connectable to the drive plate. The connected operational head is locked to the drive plate when the locking lug is in the locked position and the connected operational head is unlocked from the drive plate when the locking lug is in the unlocked position.

Filament cutting head for a trimmer

A rotatingly drivable filament cutting head for a trimmer, having a basic body on which a cutting filament is held. The cutting filament extends from outside the basic body through an opening into an interior region of the filament cutting head open to the surrounding area. A stop is arranged on the filament cutting head, so that, in a first position of the cutting filament, the stop delimits a filament portion of the cutting filament, which is insertable into the interior region, to an insertion length. A deflection element is arranged in the interior region so that the cutting filament can be switched from its first position, without the cutting filament being longitudinally displaced, into a second position. The cutting filament abuts against the deflection element in its second position and the stop does not delimit the length of the filament portion which is insertable into the interior region.

Multi-use tool with interchangeable attachments

Systems and methods for using interchangeable tool attachments in multi-use tools. In one embodiment, a multi-use tool includes a motor, a shaft and a shaft adapter at the end of the shaft. The motor has user controls (e.g., on/off switch or throttle) that control the motor to drive the shaft and cause it to rotate. The shaft may include a rigid tubular outer member with a flexible inner shaft. The shaft adapter is coupled to the end of the rotating portion of the shaft. The shaft adapter has a mounting flange that rotates with the adapter at the end of the shaft. An interchangeable tool attachment is secured to the mounting flange, and rotation of the shaft adapter and mounting flange causes the tool attachment to rotate as well. Many different tool attachments can be interchangeably secured to the mounting flange to provide corresponding, different functions to the tool.

GRASS TRIMMER

A grass trimmer has a main body and a trimming device. The main body has an operating device and a power source. The trimming device has a grass cutting assembly having a cutting member and a power head for rotating the cutting member. The power head has a housing, a rotor assembly and a stator assembly. The housing is formed integrally and defines an accommodation chamber. The rotor assembly is received in the accommodation chamber of the housing and has a rotor sleeve which rotates around an axis. The stator assembly is at least partly received in the rotor sleeve. The rotor assembly further has two or more magnetic pieces disposed at an inner wall of the rotor sleeve. The stator assembly has a stator support and a coil assembly. The stator support includes a mounting portion and a supporting portion. The coil assembly is disposed in the rotor sleeve by the supporting portion.
