Disclosed are an electronic apparatus, a display apparatus and a method of controlling the same. The electronic apparatus includes a speaker configured to output a sound; a microphone configured to receive a user voice; a communicator configured to perform communication; and a processor. The processor is configured to: identify a state of an external apparatus through the communicator based on reception of the user voice, process the received user voice and output a sound corresponding to a process result through the speaker based on identification that the external apparatus is in a turned-off state, and control the communicator to transmit information about the received user voice to the external apparatus and request the external apparatus to process the voice based on identification that the external apparatus is in a turned-on state.
Voice-controlled media play in smart media environment
A method is implemented at a server system for controlling play of media content on a media output system by voice. The server system receives a voice message via an electronic device, and determines that the voice message includes a media play request having a user voice command to play media content and a user voice designation of a media output system. In accordance with the voice designation, the server system identifies in a device registry the media output system that is associated with the electronic device in the virtual user domain. The server system then sends to the identified media output system another media play request including information of a media play application and information of the media content requested to be played, thereby enabling the media output system to execute the media play application that controls the media output system to play the requested media content.

The objective of the present invention is to provides a display device for automatically recognizing an external device connected to external input terminals, the display device receiving pieces of control information about external devices connected to the same Internet, and then sensing whether a change in the output images occurs during the transmission of a control signal by using the pieces of received control information, while sequentially outputting images received from the external input terminals, thereby recognizing the external device connected to the input terminals.

The method includes detecting, on an electronic device, a display device connected to the electronic device via a cable; identifying, on the electronic device, a type of display device connected to the electronic device via the cable; classifying, on the electronic device, the type of display device connected to the electronic device via the cable as one of a specific television model or a regular television model; and executing, on the electronic device, a fix for the specific television model. The method can include detecting, on an electronic device, a HDMI cable-related error from a HDMI transmitter of the electronic device; classifying, on the electronic device, a cause of the HDMI cable-related error from the HDMI transmitter; and communicating, by the electronic device, a recommendation to a user to remedy the HDMI cable-related error detected by the HDMI transmitter.

System, method, and various embodiments for providing an automatic audio source selection system are described herein. An embodiment operates by determining a state of a first device configured to output first video to a screen and first audio to one or more speakers. A priority of the first device is determined relative to one or more other devices configured to output second video to the screen and second audio to the one or more speakers. An audio source for the one or more speakers is selected based on both the state of the first device and the priority of the first device. Based on the selected audio source, audio is provided to the one or more speakers for output, wherein the output audio corresponds to video output to the screen from the selected audio source.

To allow special processing while processing is synchronized between a transmission side and a reception side. Each audio data unit of audio data is sequentially transmitted to a reception side via a predetermined transfer channel. A counter value and a parity value associated with the counter value are, for every predetermined number of audio data units, added to the audio data. Predetermined information is transmitted to the reception side with the counter value and the parity value being in a predetermined state based on a preset rule.

A feedback device, a feedback system, and a feedback method for taste sense is disclosed, wherein the feedback device includes a processor, a container, and a providing mechanism. Multiple taste materials are stored in the container. When a media player plays a multimedia file to a labeled paragraph, a control signal is sent to the feedback device. After receiving the control signal, the processor controls the providing mechanism to provide a corresponding one of the taste materials for the user to eat. Therefore, the user may obtain taste feedback that is relevant to the label paragraph of the multimedia file through the feedback device.

The present disclosure provides a display device that includes an external input interface including an input port connected to a source device, and a processor configured to detect that a source device is connected through an unselected input port of a plurality of input ports, activate an external input interface corresponding to the unselected input port, perform a connection process between the source device and the external input interface, deactivate error detection operation between the source device and the external input interface, generate fake connection information for maintaining connection between the source device and the external input interface based on information input to the external input interface from the source device, and switch the external input interface to a standby mode.
