Dynamic Buffer Control For Devices Based On Environmental Data
20210037281 · 2021-02-04 · ·

A buffer size of an electronic media accessory, such as a wireless audio or video player, is dynamically adjusted based on machine learning optimizations balancing low latency and high media quality. A host device that is wirelessly paired with the electronic media accessory may detect various environmental conditions, and communicate a recommended buffer size to the electronic accessory based on such conditions. The electronic accessory adjusts its buffer in accordance with the recommended size, thereby achieving a latency of approximately 100 ms or less in good RF conditions.

IR INFRARED transmitter and receiver eyes from the hdmi fiber optic based cable can be either or both integrated in the/on to the hdmi fiber connector housing shell, keystone, wallplate, multimedia strip, and any other fixed or flying shape of housing, or externally connected via additional IR EYES connectors added on the hdmi aoc fiber connector housing shell, or extrapolated from the hdmi fiber optic based cable using any flying wiring and any connection solution

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPTIMIZED APPLIANCE UTILIZATION

A system and method functions to automatically determine a capability of a consumer electronic device and capabilities of ports of an appliance to which the consumer electronic device is connected. The system and method further detects a port of the appliance to which a consumer electronic device is connected. When it is determined that the consumer electronic device is not connected to a port of the appliance that best supports the determined capability of the consumer electronic device, the system and method will automatically provide a user with instructions, e.g., via use of a speaker and/or a display, by which the user can reconnect the consumer electronic device to another port of the appliance having a determined capability that is better suited to the determined capability of the consumer electronic device.

DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

Provided is a display apparatus including: a display; a content interface; a communication interface; and a controller configured to: control the display to display an image corresponding to the broadcast signal received through the content interface; receive operation information of an external audio apparatus through at least one interface selected from the content interface and the communication interface; and control the display to display a control menu for providing the operation information of the external audio apparatus and acquiring a user input related to an operation of the external audio apparatus in response to the operation information of the external audio apparatus being received.

Video processing system for demultiplexing received compressed and non-compressed video signals and transmitting demultiplexed signals

The present invention is intended to permit both real-time display of a picture represented by a non-compressed video signal on a television and display of a picture represented by a compressed video signal at any desired time by simultaneously transmitting the compressed video signal and non-compressed video signal via one interface. An STB packetizes a compressed video signal, and multiplexes the compressed video signal and a blanking signal combined with a non-compressed video signal. Thus, both the video signals are transmitted simultaneously. A picture represented by the non-compressed video signal is displayed on a television in real time. The compressed video signal is stored in a storage medium incorporated in the television, read at any user's desired time, and decoded so that a picture represented by the compressed video signal can be viewed at the user's desired time.

DISPLAY APPARATUS AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

Disclosed is a display apparatus and a method of controlling the same. The display apparatus includes: a display; a communication interface; and a processor configured to: control the communication interface to communicate with an external sound device, and based on receiving, through the communication interface, at least one of an audio signal that is output from the external sound device or additional information related to the audio signal, control the display to display a graphic user interface (GUI) providing a visual effect that corresponds to the audio signal based on at least one of the audio signal or the additional information related to the audio signal, wherein the processor is configured to control the display to display the GUI on a partial region of the display based on device information of the external sound device.

DISPLAY DEVICE AND OPERATION METHOD THEREFOR

The present disclosure relates to a display device and an operating method thereof, which improve a problem in which a screen is not output when operating as a receiver after operating as an HDCP repeater, the display device comprises a display unit and a control unit configured to: receive a signal from a first external device and transmit the signal to a second external device so that an image according to the signal received from the first external device is output from the second external device, wherein the control unit is further configured to transmit a virtual ID to the first external device if the second external device is not connected.

LED design language for visual affordance of voice user interfaces

A method is implemented at an electronic device for visually indicating a voice processing state. The electronic device includes an array of visual indicators and one or more microphones. The electronic device collects via the one or more microphones audio inputs from an environment in proximity to the electronic device and initializes processing of the audio inputs. A state of the processing is then determined from among a plurality of predefined voice processing states, and for each of the visual indicators, a respective predetermined illumination specification is determined in association with the determined voice processing state. In accordance with the identified illumination specifications of the visual indicators, the electronic device synchronizes illumination of the array of visual indicators to provide a visual pattern indicating the determined voice processing state. The visual pattern is displayed on the surface of the electronic device and includes one or more discrete illumination elements.

Automatic audio source selection system

System, method, and various embodiments for providing an automatic audio source selection system are described herein. An embodiment operates by receiving, at a speaker device, first audio from a media player, wherein a television is outputting video from the media player. The speaker device detects a change of a state of the media player. The audio source from which audio is being received from the media player is automatically updated to receive second audio from a television. Responsive to the automatic updating, the second audio from the television is automatically output by the speaker device, wherein the television is outputting video corresponding to the second audio.
