A grass trimmer includes a grass trimmer head, a drive device, and an operating member. The grass trimmer head includes a spool used for a grass trimmer rope to be wound around and a head housing for accommodating at least part of the spool. The drive device is configured to drive the grass trimmer head to rotate. The operating member is connected to the drive device and includes an operating portion for a user to operate. The grass trimmer has a winding mode. In the case where the grass trimmer is in the winding mode, movement of the operating member is transmitted to the spool or the head housing through the drive device so as to generate relative movement that is between the spool and the head housing and through which the grass trimmer rope is wound around the spool.

An arbor adapter for converting a common angle grinder to a compact line trimmer is disclosed. The trimmer, as converted, is powerful, efficient, and as safe as any of the typical uses for angle grinders. The prototype line trimmer is 13″ in length and may be operated with one hand if desired. Conventional line trimmers are in the 66″ range, or five times the length of the present invention. The invention requires no alteration of the factory angle grinder and guard. The invention could be modified as to material composition yet still meet the original scope and claims.

A string trimmer includes a trimmer head and a driving device having a motor for driving the trimmer head to rotate around a rotation axis. The trimmer head includes a spool, a head housing formed with an accommodating space, and a transmission member mounted to the spool. The spool is at least partially accommodated in the accommodating space. The transmission member includes a driving portion. The head housing is formed with a mating portion to mate with the driving portion.

A string trimmer includes a trimming head, a driving device, and an operating device. The trimming head includes a spool, a head housing formed with an accommodating space, and a transmission member mounted to the spool that can move freely between the head housing and the spool in the direction of a straight line perpendicular to the direction of the rotation axis. The trimming line has an effective portion extending from the accommodating space. When the length of the effective portion of the trimming line is larger than a preset value, the transmission member automatically releases the head housing. When the length of the effective portion of the trimming line is less than the preset value, the transmission member locks the head housing.

Head of a string trimmer, the head being rotatably trained around a spinning axis, the head including a wall including at least one eyelet, at least one bearing, which is received in the at least one eyelet and which defines a rotation axis, and at least one sub-assembly including a blocking member, and a cutting string that is held by the blocking member so as to extend outward of the wall radially to the spinning axis when the head is trained in rotation around the spinning axis, the at least one sub-assembly being received by the at least one bearing so that the at least one sub-assembly is rotatable without restriction around the rotation axis of the at least one bearing with respect to the wall.

A grass trimmer includes a grass trimmer head, a brushless motor, a drive circuit, and a controller. The grass trimmer head includes a spool and a head housing. The spool is configured to wind a grass trimmer rope. The head housing is configured to accommodate the spool. The grass trimmer has an automatic winding mode. In the automatic winding mode, the brushless motor drives at least one of the spool and the head housing so that the spool and the head housing rotate relatively and the grass trimmer rope is automatically wound onto the spool. The controller is configured to: in the automatic winding mode, output a control signal to the drive circuit according to at least one of the given voltage and the given current so that the rotation speed of the brushless motor is basically constant.

A cutting head body for an agricultural machine, such as a mower or a trimmer, is configured to receive a cutting line for cutting weeds, grass, or other materials. The cutting head body includes an inlet area having a cavity with a node location configured to receive a node of a cutting line, and an outlet area having a cavity configured to open to an exterior of the cutting head body. The cutting head body may include a first passageway connecting the inlet area to the outlet area and a second passageway connecting the inlet area to the outlet area. The cutting head body is rotatable about a rotational axis to move the cutting line. In some embodiments, the cutting head body is fixed to a rotatable shaft. In some embodiments, the cutting head body rotates about a fixed shaft.

A rotary head for brush cutters with a lower shell on which cutting means and a ring nut are hinged, the latter being coupled to the lower shell and movable in relation to the lower shell from a first working configuration to a second blade-change working configuration, and vice versa; the rotary head having positioning means for interference fitting said ring nut in a predetermined angular position relative to said lower shell.

A grass cutting head includes a spool for winding a grass cutting line, a head housing for accommodating the spool, a first guiding structure disposed at least partially in the head housing, and a second guiding structure formed on the spool. The first guiding structure guides the grass cutting line through the head housing when threading the grass cutting line. The second guiding structure guides the grass cutting line to move and be wound around the spool by relative motion created between the spool and the head housing. The head housing includes a first housing and a second housing. The first guiding structure is disposed at least partially in the first housing. The spool is disposed between the first housing and the second housing. The first housing or the second housing is provided with an outer threading hole for allowing the grass cutting line to pass in or out.

The trimmer head (1) includes a housing (3) and a spool (5) that can be housed in the housing. A pair of ring members (35A, 35B) with teeth inclined at opposite inclinations can be selectively coupled to the head, to engage the trimmer head (1) in combination with trimmer apparatuses having engine that rotates selectively in a clockwise or anticlockwise direction.
