METHODS AND APPARATUS TO DETERMINE AN AUDIENCE COMPOSITION BASED ON VOICE RECOGNITION
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a controller to cause a people meter to emit a prompt for input of audience identification information at a first time and determine a first audience count based on the input, an audio detector to determine a second audience count based on signatures generated from audio data captured in the media environment, and a comparator to cause the people meter to not emit the prompt for at least a first time period after the first time when the first audience count is equal to the second audience count.
Electronic device that presents media content on display based on consumer context
An electronic device, computer program product, and method enable selection and presentation of media content associated with a person identified in a monitored space. The electronic device includes a device interface that is communicatively coupled to a media output device that presents media content in the monitored area. A controller of the electronic device is communicatively coupled to sensor(s) and the media output device. The controller presents a default selection of media content on the media output device. The controller monitors the sensor(s) to detect a presence of a person within or approaching the monitored area. The controller identifies the person. The controller selects, from among a plurality of available media content, media content that is associated with the identified person. The controller presents the selected media content on the media output device.
Display device
Provided is a display device including a display unit, a storage unit configured to store information on a web page, a microphone configured to receive a user's voice command, a network interface unit configured to perform communication with a natural language processing (NLP) server, and a controller configured to transmit text data of the voice command to the NLP server, to receive intention analysis result information corresponding to the voice command from the NLP server, to select, as a final candidate address, one of a plurality of candidate addresses related to a search word included in the received intention analysis result information if the search word is not stored in the storage unit, and to access a website corresponding to the selected final candidate address.
Media content identification on mobile devices
A mobile device responds in real time to media content presented on a media device, such as a television. The mobile device captures temporal fragments of audio-video content on its microphone, camera, or both and generates corresponding audio-video query fingerprints. The query fingerprints are transmitted to a search server located remotely or used with a search function on the mobile device for content search and identification. Audio features are extracted and audio signal global onset detection is used for input audio frame alignment. Additional audio feature signatures are generated from local audio frame onsets, audio frame frequency domain entropy, and maximum change in the spectral coefficients. Video frames are analyzed to find a television screen in the frames, and a detected active television quadrilateral is used to generate video fingerprints to be combined with audio fingerprints for more reliable content identification.
GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE AND DATA TRANSFER METHODS IN A CONTROLLING DEVICE
A smart device is provided with a main remote control application that may be configured using information obtained from a QR code. The main remote control application may present images of original remote controls corresponding to devices which are controllable by the configured main remote control application. In connection with a presented image of an original remote control, the display may present icons that are representative of a subset of the buttons of the original remote control. The user interface also allows a user to select amongst the images of the original remote controls to change which appliances are to be controlled via the user interface. A pop-up remote control widget may also be provided which may be invoked without switching to the main remote control application provisioned on the smart device.
Locating and identifying paired electronic devices
An electronic device, method, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium provide a function of locating and identifying a paired device in a wireless network. The wireless network communicatively connects a plurality of electronic devices including the electronic device and the paired device. The electronic device includes a user interface, a network interface, a hardware processor, and a non-transitory memory storing one or more programs. The hardware processor executes the programs to receive a search command using a first communication connection via the network interface. Moreover, the hardware processor executes the programs to determine whether the peer device identifying information matches identifying information of the electronic device. When the peer device identifying information matches the identifying information of the electronic device, the electronic device identifies as the paired device. Otherwise, the electronic device broadcasts to the wireless network using a second communication connection.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a display unit; a user input interface unit which receives a signal from a remote control device; and a control unit which receives a voice signal, and on the basis of data extracted from the voice signal, sets an external device connected to the display device as an object to be controlled by the remote control device.
Comtool Communication System
A system that simplifies electronic communication and data sharing by integrating various apps into one. The COMTOOL communication system is characterized by a color coded user ID as a security feature for preventing imposters in a user's contacts to reduce fake news distribution. The system integrates a photo album, a calendar, a voice over IP, a video chart, a video playback, a religious and political group's app and a forum app into one interface and makes them available as a mobile application on a mobile phone, a web based application hosted on a server and as an application installed in television sets. A television remote control is designed to transmit data to a television lens for pausing, rewinding and forwarding a video in playback mode. Double pressing a selector button on a television remote control subscribes to a content provider channel.
