Systems and methods for audio track selection in video editing with audio mixing option
09838731 · 2017-12-05 · ·

Video clips may be automatically edited to be synchronized for accompaniment by audio tracks. A preliminary version of a video clip may be made up from stored video content. Occurrences of video events within the preliminary version may be determined. A first audio track may include audio event markers. A first revised version of the video clip may be synchronized so that moments within the video clip corresponding to occurrences of video events are aligned with moments within the first audio track corresponding to audio event markers. Presentation of an audio mixing option may be effectuated on a graphical user interface of a video application for selection by a user. The audio mixing option may define volume at which the first audio track is played as accompaniment for the video clip.

Methodology for equalizing systemic latencies in television reception in connection with games of skill played in connection with live television programming

A method of and system for handling latency issues encountered in producing real-time entertainment such as games of skill synchronized with live or taped televised events is described herein. There are multiple situations that are dealt with regarding latencies in receiving a television signal with respect to real-time entertainment based on the unfolding games played along with the telecasts. Systemic delays, arbitrarily imposed delays of a broadcast signal and variances in the precise broadcast times of taped television programs have to be equalized so as to provide fair entertainment.

Method, apparatus and systems for audio decoding and encoding

An audio processing system (100) accepts an audio bitstream having one of a plurality of predefined audio frame rates. The system comprises a front-end component (110), which receives a variable number of quantized spectral components, corresponding to one audio frame in any of the predefined audio frame rates, and performs an inverse quantization according to predetermined, frequency-dependent quantization levels. The front-end component may be agnostic of the audio frame rate. The audio processing system further comprises a frequency-domain processing stage (120) and a sample rate converter (130), which provide a reconstructed audio signal sampled at a target sampling frequency independent of the audio frame rate. By its frame-rate adaptability, the system can be configured to operate frame-synchronously in parallel with a video processing system that accepts plural video frame rates.

Method and system for providing social media content synchronized to media presentation

A computer system provides a method for delivering a video stream to a viewer and delivering, in synchrony with the video stream, social media content created during the current and previous viewings of the video stream by first-time viewers of the video stream.

System and method for use of cyclic play queues in a media content environment

An electronic device, while providing a first playlist for playback by a media device, maintains a play queue for a first user that is initially populated with a list of media content items to be played by the media device, the initially populated list of media content items including media content items distinct from the first playlist and selected by the first user and media content items from the first playlist. The electronic device receives a request to change playback from the first playlist to a second playlist different from the first playlist. In response to the request to change the playback from the first playlist to the second playlist, the electronic device maintains, in the play queue, the media content items selected by the first user while changing playback from the first playlist to the second playlist.

A server receives, from a first display device of a first user, first content data, first sensor data, and a request for assistance identifying a context of the first display device. The server identifies a second display device of a second user based on the context of the first display device. The server receives second content data and second sensor data from the second display device. The first content data is synchronized with the second content data based on the first and second sensor data. Playback parameters are formed based on the context of the first display device. An enhanced playback session is generated using the synchronized first and second content data in response to determining that the first sensor data meet the playback parameters. The enhanced playback session is communicated to the first display device.

Systems and Methods for Providing Variable Speeds in a Trick-Play Mode

Systems and methods for providing variable trick-play mode playback of media content in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. A playback device stores images of the media content associated with presentation times and marker information for the media content that indicates the presentation time of moments of interest. When a trick-play mode is invoked, the playback device determines a presentation time of a next marker in the playback. The playback device determines whether the current presentation time of the playback is within a specified range of the presentation time of the next marker and adjusts the speed of the trick-play playback based on the determination. The next frame to present is determined based on the adjusted speed of the trick-play playback and displayed.

Systems and Methods for Providing Audio Content During Trick-Play Playback

Systems and methods for providing playback of audio content during a trick-play mode in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. Media content can include audio content and video content. The audio content is divided into segments and the video content includes frames. Synchronization information associates a presentation time of each of the segments of the audio content with a presentation time of one or more frames associated with the images of the video content. When a trick-play mode is requested, the next frame from the video content to present is determined. The synchronization information is used to determine the segments of the audio content associated with the next frame. The determined segments audio content are presented as the frames are displayed in trick-play mode.

Marker-based inter-destination media synchronization

A method and a system enabling inter-destination synchronization of processing of content of at least a first and second media stream, wherein said first and second media stream are associated with one or more markers for marking one or more content parts of said first and second media streams respectively. The method comprises the steps of: detecting a first marked content part in said first media stream and a second marked content part in said second media stream, said first and second market content part being associated with a first and second marker respectively; associating first timing information, preferably comprising a first clock time, with said detected first marked content part and associating second timing information, preferably comprising a second clock time, with said detected second marked content part; determining a timing difference on the basis of said first and second timing information; and, generating on the basis of said timing difference synchronization information for enabling a first and/or second synchronization client to adjust the processing of said first and/or second media stream respectively.
