Broadcast reception device, broadcast reception method, and broadcast reception program

A broadcast reception device includes: a program recording execution unit that stores, into a recording-content storage area, program identification information for identifying a broadcast program, and storage-destination information for specifying a server device storing the broadcast program; a reception function execution unit that transmits the program identification information and the program storage-destination information to the server device specified from the program storage-destination information; and an output unit that outputs sound information and image information on the broadcast program transmitted from the server device.

PRODUCING AND ADAPTING VIDEO IMAGES FOR PRESENTATION DISPLAYS WITH DIFFERENT ASPECT RATIOS

The described embodiments include systems and methods for producing and adapting images, such as video images, for presentation on display devices that have various different aspects ratios, such as 4:3, 16:9, 9:16, etc. In one embodiment, a method for producing content, such as video images, can begin by selecting an original aspect ratio and determining, within at least a first scene in the content, a position of a subject in the first scene. In one embodiment, the original aspect ratio can be substantially square (e.g., 1:1). Metadata can then be created, based on the position of the subject in the first scene, to guide playback devices to asymmetrically crop the content, relative to the position, for display on display devices that have aspect ratios that are different than the original aspect ratio. Other methods and systems are also described.

A display device comprising a memory in which a first application corresponding to a first content provision server and a second application corresponding to a second content provision server are stored; a display; and a processor to control, by executing the first application, the display to display a recommendation content list of content of the first content provision server based on a content use history of a user so that the content included in the recommended content list is aligned in a preset alignment. The preset alignment can be the same as an alignment of a recommendation content list of content of the second content provision server to be provided through the second application.

An image capture apparatus obtains image data captured using an image sensor and then generates, as metadata, information relating to a state of the image capture apparatus at the time of capturing the image data as well as to the image data. The image capture apparatus comprises a first output circuit for outputting the image data in a first format to an external apparatus and a second output circuit for outputting a part of the metadata in a second format to the external apparatus. The second output circuit is from the first output circuit.

Distributing digital cinema package (DCP) over internet

Disclosed are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for distributed DCP over internet. A client-side digital content delivery device receives a digital cinema package (DCP) for a digital movie from a remote digital content delivery system. The DCP includes a unique digital watermark applied by the content delivery system. In response to receiving an input to cause playback of the digital movie, the client-side digital content delivery device compares a unique device identifier for a display device paired to the client-side digital content delivery device to an authorized unique identifier. If the unique device identifier matches the authorized unique identifier, the client-side digital content delivery device uses the DCP to causes presentation of the digital movie by the display device paired to the client-side digital content delivery device.

Content stream having encoded metadata for video enhancement

A system for providing default content enhanced with supplemental content includes processing hardware and a memory storing a software code. The processing hardware executes the software code to receive a content stream including multiple video frames, a first video frame of the multiple video frames including first default content, first supplemental content, and first encoded metadata, and to decode the first encoded metadata of the first video frame to produce first decoded metadata. The processing hardware further executes the software code to select, using the first decoded metadata, at least a first portion of the first supplemental content for use in enhancing the first default content, transfer, using the first decoded metadata, the selected first portion of the first supplemental content to one or more predetermined locations in the first default content to produce an enhanced first video content, and output the enhanced first video content to a display device.

A method of processing media data. The method includes determining, for a conversion between the media data and a media data file, that a preselection element includes an indicator, wherein the indicator indicates that a purpose of the preselection element is for providing a picture-in-picture experience where a supplementary video appears to be overlaid on a target picture-in-picture region in a main video; and performing a conversion between the media data and the media data file based on the indicator. A corresponding video coding apparatus and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium are also disclosed.
