Connection allocation method in media playing process, media playing device and storage medium
The disclosure provides a connection allocation method in a media playing process, including: receiving playing requests initiated by a player embedded in a webpage, wherein the player plays media data in the webpage; storing the received playing requests into a buffering queue to queue according to a receiving sequence of the playing requests; and allocating connections to the playing requests in the buffering queue according to an upper limit of the number of concurrent connections usable for the buffering queue and the receiving sequence, wherein the connections are used for the player to request to-be-played media data. The disclosure further provides a media playing device and a storage medium.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR DYNAMIC CABLE NETWORK POWER MANAGEMENT
The presentation invention relates to methods and apparatus for managing cable network power consumption. An exemplary method in accordance with one embodiment includes the steps of: receiving a message by a cable modem instructing the cable modem to reduce power consumption; increasing, by the cable modem, a buffer size of at least one of: (i) a cable modem downlink buffer included in the cable modem, or (ii) a cable modem uplink buffer included in the cable modem in response to receiving the message; and switching, by the cable modem, from a first mode of operation to a second mode of operation after performing one or both of: (i) transmitting uplink data to the cable modem termination system, and (ii) transmitting downlink data to a wireless base station, said second mode of operation being a power savings modem of operation.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CONTEXT-SENSITIVE MANIPULATION OF AN OBJECT VIA A PRESENTATION SOFTWARE
Methods and Systems for context-sensitive manipulation of an object via a presentation software are disclosed.
System and method for interactive set top box setup
A system and method provide for installation and setup of a set-top box (STB) in a Digital TV network includes a mobile device running a mobile application, an operator application, and a display configured to display video from the STB. A status of the STB is determined and encoded into an optically scannable graphic displayed by the display. The optically scannable graphic is scanned with an optical device in communication with the mobile device and the status of the STB is decoded. The status of the STB is transmitted to the operator application compared with an acceptance criteria.

Display dependent analytics
Exemplary aspects concern apparatuses and methods for display-related analysis of call data in an IPBX. In an example embodiment, an apparatus is configured to route data/VoIP calls via a data-communications server. An interface circuit is configured to selected parameters of interest based on capabilities of a set of devices and generate subscription requests to subscribe the devices to the parameters of interest. A processing circuit is configured to generate call summary metrics from call event messages for calls routed by the server and with subscription requests being associated with the parameters of interest. The call summary metrics are evaluated in connection with the parameters of interest as subscribed to by the devices and results of the evaluation are provided to the communications devices.
Predictive Power Management Using Machine Learning
Systems and methods are described for power control in a media receiver device having a plurality of electronic components, using a trained model. Input signals are received from at least one electronic component. An alertness state of the device is determined using a machine learning based determiner trained to process the received input signals and predict a subsequent alertness state identifying at least one additional component or device. Power consumption by the identified components and devices is controlled based on the predicted alertness state.
DISPLAY APPARATUS
Provided are display apparatuses. A display apparatus includes: a display, and a controller connected to the display, the controller is configured to: display a first interface on the display; in response to no operation for the first interface reaching a first time threshold, create a screensaver display interface by a screensaver application in the display apparatus, where the screensaver display interface is transparent with respect to the first interface; present the screensaver display interface on the display without blocking the first interface presented on the display; create a screensaver view comprising a plurality of screensaver interfaces by the screensaver application; and present the first screensaver interface in the screensaver view on the screensaver display interface to block the first interface, where the first access entry and the first presentation material are visible for a user and the first access entry is available for selection by the user.
Display apparatus with intelligent user interface
A display apparatus includes presence detection circuitry for detecting an individual in proximity to the display apparatus; a display for displaying video content and a user interface; a processor in communication with the user input circuitry, the display, and the search history database; and non-transitory computer readable media in communication with the processor that stores instruction code. The instruction code is executed by the processor and causes the processor to: a) determine, from the presence detection circuitry, a user in proximity of the display apparatus; b) determine one or more program types associated with the user; c) determine available programs that match the predicted one or more programs; and d) update the user interface to depict a listing of one or more of the available programs that match the predicted one or more programs.
