Electronic program guide, method for an electronic program guide, and corresponding device
An electronic program guide, EPG, comprises a first portion and a second portion. The first portion comprises a list of channels and, for each channel in the list, a list of scheduled audiovisual content. The second portion comprises a selection area or section and a first graphical element representing a time line. The selection section may be used to select scheduled audiovisual content according to a selection criterion. Second graphical elements that represent scheduled audio visual content resulting from the selection are then placed on the first graphical element. The relative position of the second graphical elements on the first graphical element is determined by chronological order.
Dynamic topology generation for branching narratives
A playback application is configured to dynamically generate topology for an interactive media title. The playback application obtains an initial topology and also collects various data associated with a user interacting with the feature. The playback application then modifies the initial topology, based on the collected data, to generate a dynamic topology tailored to the user. The dynamic topology describes the set of choices available to the user during playback as well as which options can be selected by the user when making a given choice. In addition, the playback application also selectively buffers different portions of the interactive media title, based on the collected data, in anticipation of the user selecting particular options for available choices.
System and method for live web camera feed and streaming transmission with definitive online identity verification for prevention of synthetic video and photographic images
A live web camera feed and streaming transmission system and method for gathering, identifying and authenticating biometric data of a specific human being while constantly monitoring, tracking, analyzing, storing and distributing dynamic biometric data to ensure authorized access to the secured system continues via positive live feed monitoring of biometric data for participating computer systems and or programs. Multiple, correlative, inseparable, embedded serial numbers allow for editing within a live video recording session because the serial numbers are “attached” to one another from frame to frame. The degree of identity verification correlated with the various serial numbers, directly affects an indelible, detectible, identity verification cumulative authentication rating score in conjunction with a recognizable and standardized, indelible, detectible, hyperlinked color-coded security badge displaying the degree of identity authentication. If any one of these components that work cooperatively and correlatively is tampered with in any regard, the video is rendered inoperable.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING A VIRTUAL SCREENING
A system for facilitating a virtual screening is disclosed. The system identifies a user for participating in a virtual screening of media content. The system generates a unique link for the user to facilitate access to the media content. When the user interacts with the link, the system prompts the user to authenticate with the system and determines whether the authentication was successful. If authentication is successful, the link is associated with an identifier of the user and/or a user device. A request for a key for decrypting the media content and a request for a digitally signed file accessing the media content pursuant to parameters are made. If the digitally signed file is valid, the system applies a watermark to the media content to track the use of the media content and streams the media content to the user. Feedback on the media content is obtained from the user.
QUALIFICATION TEST IN SUBJECT SCORING
Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for subjective evaluation. In some examples, processing circuitry receives scores graded by a subject to a media presentation. The scores by the subject includes a plurality of self comparison scores that are graded to self comparison tests in the media presentation. The processing circuitry applies a first rule and a second rule to the plurality of self comparison scores. The first rule requires a first subset of the plurality of self comparison scores in a first range. The second rule requires a second subset of the plurality of self comparison scores in a second range to limit at least an outlier to the first rule according to the second range. The processing circuitry determines that the scores by the subject are qualified for the subjective evaluation in response to the first rule and the second rule being satisfied.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INSERTING EMOTICONS WITHIN A MEDIA ASSET
Systems and methods are described herein for inserting emoticons within a media asset based on an audio portion of the media asset. Each audio portion of a media asset is associated with a respective part of speech, and an emotion corresponding to the audio portion for the media asset is determined. A corresponding emoticon is identified based on the determined emotion in the audio portion and causing to be presented at the location within the media asset.
Synchronizing video content with extrinsic data
Disclosed are various embodiments for associating and synchronizing extrinsic data with video content at particular points of time in the video content. In one embodiment, an application identifies a video content feature currently being presented via a display device. A current time in the video content feature are determined. Performers potentially depicted in the video content feature at the current time are determined. The application then generates a user interface configured to receive a user selection of a particular performer from the performers, where the user selection indicates that the particular performer is depicted in the video content feature at the current time.
Targeted Content Distribution Over a Network
A computing device may be configured to provide authorization to a first content source to provide first content to a user device. The computing device may receive a request from the first content source to identify a location of second content to be presented to the user device and respond to the request by providing an address to the first content source. At the provided address, a request for the second content from the user device may be received. When responding to the request, the computing device may retrieve information associated with the user (e.g., user preference information) from the user device. Using this information, the computing device may generate at least one parameter for selecting the second contend and send a response to the user device. The response may include an address for the second content and the at least one parameter for selecting the second content.
GENERATING PERSONALIZED VIDEOS FROM TEXTUAL INFORMATION
Systems, methods and non-transitory computer readable media for generating personalized videos from textual information are provided. An indication of a preference of a user is obtained. Further, textual information for generating a personalized video is obtained from the user. At least one characteristic of a character is selected based on the preference of the user. An artificial neural network, the textual information and the selected at least one characteristic of the character is used to generate the personalized video depicting the character with the selected at least one characteristic.
Methods and systems for displaying a countdown alert for children
Methods and systems are disclosed herein for creating countdown animations. The countdown animations may alert children that they are approaching their viewing limits, wherein the viewing limits are set by parents and/or guardians. A method may include generating a countdown of an amount of time remaining in a user selected period of time for accessing media content. The method may include identifying a character of a plurality of characters based on a user criterion. The method may include searching a database of a plurality of countdown animations to select a countdown animation associated with the identified character. The method may include generating for display the selected countdown animation simultaneously with the media content.
