A walk reel mower has a traction frame that carries a telescopic handle assembly to accommodate users of different heights. A pivotal bail on the handle assembly allows the user to slip a traction clutch to temporarily slow the mower down when turning the mower around. The handle assembly has a resilient isolator that acts in shear to permit the traction frame of the mower to maintain the quality and the height of cut when operated by users having a heavy downpressure touch on the handle assembly. A fixed head reel cutting unit or a flex head reel cutting unit can be interchangeably carried on the traction frame using a common mount therefor. Backlapping can be accomplished in situ by using an idler wheel between a driven transport wheel and the reel of the cutting unit to reverse the direction of the reel.

The at least one controller is configured to output a plurality of control commands corresponding to the control signals generated by the at least one control input device, and the control commands are configured to effect movement of the header positioning assembly between the plurality of orientations. An agricultural work vehicle is provided and includes the control system.

CROSS-FLOW VACUUM AND CUTTER

A yard waste clearing device includes a horizontal cross-flow fan blade assembly. The cross-flow fan blade assembly is disposed in a housing that operated in concert to produce an airflow from an inlet portion of the housing, through the cross-flow fan blade assembly, and out an outlet portion with a sufficient flow rate to carry plant matter shredded by the cross-flow fan blade assembly to a storage element such as a disposable yard waste bag. A vertical chute from the outlet portion carries the shredded plant matter up to the opening of the yard waste bag so that the yard waste bag may be held vertically, utilizing the available storage space more efficiently.

CROSS-FLOW VACUUM AND CUTTER

A yard waste clearing device includes a horizontal cross-flow fan blade assembly. A roller is connected to a harvesting platform for movement with a combine over a ground surface in a direction of travel. The roller includes a first portion defining a first diameter and including a first material, and a second portion defining a second diameter and including a second material. The second diameter is greater than the first diameter. The second portion substantially surrounds the first portion, the second material has different material properties than the first material. The roller extends in the direction of travel and rotates about a second axis which extends generally parallel to the direction of travel.

A stand or fixture for supporting a mower cutting unit having a base frame with side members interconnected with at least 2 cross members. A cradle supports stable engagement with a roller of a mower cutting unit, and is secured to and extends upward from and between the side members. The cradle is parallel to the cross members, and positioned above the side members, supported on and secured to riser members. Each of the riser members is secured to a side member. A support member is adjustably secured at a desired location between cross members, and has a top portion extending upwardly away from the base frame, and above the cradle. The support member includes aligned openings above the cradle for receiving and securing a support pin supporting a support chain for engaging and suspending the mower cutting unit supported within the cradle, for accessing components of the mower cutting unit for service.
