Techniques are disclosed relating to encoding recorded content for distribution to other computing devices. In some embodiments, a first computing device creates recorded content for transmission to a second computing device configured to present the recorded content. To encode the recorded content, the first computing device detects, via a network interface of the first computing device, one or more computing nodes available to encode the recorded content in one or more formats supported by the second computing device. The first computing device offloads the recorded content via the network interface to the one or more computing nodes for encoding in the one or more formats. In some embodiments, the second computing device receives a request from a user to stream content recorded by a first computing device and requests the content in a first format being encoded by a computing node assisting the first computing device.

A system and method for advertising are disclosed. In an aspect, a method comprises rendering a content to a plurality of users, the content having a time duration, rendering a first selectable element associated with the content to a first one of the plurality of users at a first time during the time duration of the rendered content, and rendering a second selectable element associated with the content to a second one of the plurality of users at a second time during the time duration of the rendered content, wherein the second time is different from the first time and the first selectable element is not rendered to the first one of the plurality of users while the second selectable element is rendered to the second one of the plurality of users.

Location and activation sight information is collected via a plurality of image retrieval devices associated with a plurality of hardware devices connected to a telecom network. Object elevation, movement, and abstraction attributes of objects within images retrieved from the plurality of image retrieval devices are collected from a metadata database. Based on the object elevation, movement, and abstraction attributes of objects within the images, obstruction characteristics associated with obstruction objects of the objects located within a coverage area of the telecom network are detected. The obstruction characteristics are mapped with login and disturbance patterns of the telecom network. Based on results of the mapping, an alternative transmission location within the telecom network is determined. The alternative transmission location includes improved transmissions characteristics with respect to the transmission location.

A telecom network monitoring method and associated computer program product and hardware device. A plurality of signals may be received, such as via a signal receiver, with each of the received signals being different from remaining ones of the plurality signals. The output signal may include only one or more portions from each of the at least two signals, with the one or more portions being stacked within the output signal. The stacking of the one or more portions from the at least two signals may include applying channel equalization, with the channel equalization including equalizing power of a plurality of sub-components of a frequency band corresponding to the one or more portions.
