11695999 · 2023-07-04 · ·

A system and method are provided for determining delay of a plurality of media streams. The system and method involve generating, at a source processor, a series of source time packets; transmitting, at the source processor, through a network, the series of source time packets as a source packet stream; generating, at a destination processor, a series of destination time packets; receiving, at the destination processor, through the network, the source packet stream; determining, at the destination processor, a transmission time for the source packet stream based on the source time data and the destination time data; and determining, at the destination processor, a relative synchronization error based on the source signature data and the destination signature data. Each source time packet includes source time data and source signature data. Each destination time packet includes destination time data and destination signature data.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SELECTING A DATA DELIVERY NETWORK

Systems and methods for selecting a data delivery network are disclosed. The methods comprise requesting multimedia content delivery, the request comprising an indication of available bandwidth, receiving an indication of an expected performance threshold of a multimedia content item associated with the request for multimedia content, determining a fetch time for the multimedia content item to be delivered from a first data delivery network, and, in response to the fetch time being above the expected performance threshold, selecting a second data delivery network to deliver the multimedia content item.

Intrasegment Adjustment of Video Transmission Rate

A method includes determining a first transmission rate for transmitting an entirety of a segment of a video stream to a client device. The segment includes a set of frames. In some implementations, the method includes, after transmitting a first subset of the set of frames at the first transmission rate, detecting that a network connectivity of the client device has reduced below a connectivity threshold associated with the first transmission rate. In some implementations, the method includes transmitting an entirety of the segment at a second transmission rate that is less than the first transmission rate. In some implementations, the method includes triggering the client device to present a second subset of the set of frames that corresponds to a temporal position in the video stream after the first subset of the set of frames while foregoing re-presentation of the first subset of the set of frames.

MEDIA DATA MODIFICATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A processor may manage media modification within a participant network. A processor may generate the participant network having a participant. The participant may be associated with one or more media data. A processor may enforce one or more rules on the participant network using an artificial intelligence (AI) based governance system. The one or more rules may manage the modification of the one or more media data by the participant. A processor may restrict the participant from modifying the one or more media data based, at least in part, on the AI based governance system.

Methods and systems for providing personalized content based on shared listening sessions

An electronic device receives a request, from a first device of a host user, to initiate a first shared playback session for the first device and one or more additional devices. The electronic device streams media content from a first playback queue to the first device and to the one or more additional devices, the first playback queue including one or more media content items corresponding to the first shared playback session. The electronic device determines that the first device of the host user has left the first shared playback session and, in response, maintains the first playback queue to be accessed by the one or more additional devices. After the host user has left the first shared playback session, the electronic device provides one or more media content items from the first playback queue to at least one of the one or more additional devices.

Methods and systems for reducing piracy of media content

Techniques for reducing piracy of media content are described. In some embodiments, a collusion resistant method is performed at a device, where the device receives a first request for a base copy of a media content item. In response, the device determines a first transformation based on a statistical performance criterion and a viewing performance criterion. The device further generates a first copy of the media content item by replicating and applying a first transformation to the base copy, where the first copy of the media content item satisfies the viewing performance criterion, and the first copy of the media content item is statistically different from the base copy or other copies in accordance with the statistical performance criterion. The device then causes transmission of the first copy of the media content item in combination with a first watermark for the base copy of the media content item.

Video feed access determination

One embodiment provides a method, including: receiving, at an information handling device, a request from a user to access a video feed; determining, using a processor, whether: an authorized association exists between the user and an object associated with the video feed; and a predetermined condition is satisfied; and granting, responsive to determining that the authorized associations exists and that the predetermined condition is satisfied, the user access to the video feed. Other aspects are described and claimed.

LIVE MEDIA CONTENT DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Methods, systems and arrangements are described herein for providing low-latency content delivery networks usable for widespread broadcasting of live streaming media, such as live interactive streaming media, over IP networks. Also described are methods, systems and arrangements for enabling low-latency live streaming media to be made available to a wide range of different viewer devices having various capabilities, and under various network conditions. Also provided are methods, systems and arrangements for low-latency creation of the live streaming media broadcasts.

Optimized delivery techniques

Methods are described for managing the delivery of electronic data, such as media content, through a network. An indication of a quantity of data transmitted via a network during a first time period may be received, the quantity of data including a first portion of a content item. Based on the quantity of data transmitted during the first time period, it may be determined that a first bandwidth utilization threshold of the network has been satisfied, and the network may be optimized for delivery of a second portion of the content item.
