METHODS OF ADDING AND VALIDATING A DIGITAL SIGNATURE IN A VIDEO DATA SEGMENT
A method for verifying a digital signature in a video data segment generated by a video delivery chain comprises: obtaining the video data segment comprising encoded image frames and a plurality of node device datasets associated with respective labels; wherein one or more node device datasets include respective digital signatures; wherein the one or more node device datasets comprises a first node device dataset which includes a first digital signature generated by a first node device based on a first number of node device datasets that have been last added to the video data segment before the first node device dataset; locating the labels; identifying , using the labels, the first number of node device datasets; and verifying the first digital signature. The application also discloses a method of adding a digital signature to a video data segment.
Blockchain architecture, system, method and device for automated cybersecurity and data privacy law compliance with proprietary off-chain storage mechanism
A transaction platform including at least one or more public, public-private and/or private distributed ledgers or blockchains that together enable the secure effectuation and recordation of one or more transactions while maintaining transaction party confidentiality. The private distributed ledgers or blockchains are able to store, maintain and provide information about the parties related to the transactions which the distributed blockchains or databases are able to utilize in order to securely and quickly validate, execute and record the transactions in a manner that is GDPR and other data privacy law complaint.
Personal content server apparatus and methods
Personal content server apparatus and associated methods that allow a user (e.g., cable or satellite network subscriber) to access content, such as a video program, from a location outside the subscriber's network. In one embodiment, a personal content server streams the content to the subscriber over a network connection from the local e.g., (subscription) network to a remote network upon authorization by a content manager process. Various access, business or operational rules are applied depending on the content and delivery mode; e.g., to live video broadcast, video-on-demand (VOD), or archived content from the subscriber's digital video recorder (DVR) or networked PVR. Secondary content (e.g., promotions, advertisements, etc.) can also be selectively replaced if desired in order to make the remotely delivered content more appropriate to the remote user's context.

TELEVISION RECEIVER PRIVACY CONTROL
Controlling or limiting visibility into particular metadata associated with the transfer of media content from a source device or system to a receiving device or system.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MINIMIZING NUMBER OF COPIES OF CONTENT ITEMS STORED AT SERVER
Systems and methods are described for receiving a first request, associated with a first user profile, to record a content item, and storing, at a server and based on the first request, a first copy of the content item, accessible via the first user profile. A second request to record the content item may be received, associated with a second user profile, and content consumption history associated with the second user profile may be identified. Based on such content consumption history, a determination may be made to refrain from storing a second copy of the content item based on the second request. In response to receiving a request, associated with the second user profile, to access the content item, the content item may be played at a device associated with the second user profile based on the stored first copy of the content item.
Audio and Video Synchronization
Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to audio and video synchronization. According to one aspect disclosed herein, an audio-video (“AV”) synchronization system can simultaneously capture samples of a pre-encode media stream and a post-encode media stream. The pre-encode media stream can include AV content prior to being encoded. The post-encode media stream can include the AV content after being encoded. The AV synchronization system can align a pre-encode video component of the pre-encode media stream with a post-encode video component and can determine a video offset therebetween. The AV synchronization system can align a pre-encode audio component of the pre-encode media stream with a post-encode audio component of the post-encode media stream and can determine an audio offset therebetween. The AV synchronization system can then compare the video offset and the audio offset to determine if the post-encode media stream is synchronized with the pre-encode media stream.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSOCIATING INFORMATION WITH A DIGITAL IMAGE FILE USING A DIGITAL LEDGER
An electronic device includes a camera assembly configured to capture an image and to process the image to create an image file. The electronic device further includes a communications interface, and a processor configured to generate digital ledger data comprising a smart contract providing rights to use or access the image based on a condition being satisfied, and image rights management information. The processor is further configured to transmit the digital ledger data using the communications interface, to a digital ledger network, and embed a pointer or link as a portion of data included within the image file. The pointer or link provides a location to access the digital ledger data.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING BROADCAST SERVICE
A method for providing a broadcast service is provided. The method includes transmitting a user datagram protocol (UDP)/internet protocol (IP) packet including a first message, the first message containing information about a message to be signed and transmitted, and transmitting a moving picture experts group (MPEG) media transport protocol (MMTP) packet including a second message, the second message containing information about the broadcast service and information indicating whether the information about the broadcast service is signed. The first message includes an identifier of a key used to verify a signature of the message to be transmitted and signed and an identifier of a hash algorithm used to calculate a hash value of the message to be transmitted and signed.
Content rights management for mobile devices
An electronic device for providing geolocation independent content rights management includes a non-transitory storage medium and a processing unit. The processing unit executes instructions stored in the non-transitory storage medium to receive a request for content from a content access device and, if the content access device is registered to an account associated with a geolocation, provides access to the content. In some implementations, the processing unit may determine if the content access device is registered using a token corresponding to the request. In various implementations, the processing unit may verify that one or more digital rights management and/or persistence policies allow the access, such as where access may be provided to one copy of the content at a time.
