An image capture apparatus obtains image data captured using an image sensor and then generates, as metadata, information relating to a state of the image capture apparatus at the time of capturing the image data as well as to the image data. The image capture apparatus comprises a first output circuit for outputting the image data in a first format to an external apparatus and a second output circuit for outputting a part of the metadata in a second format to the external apparatus. The second output circuit is from the first output circuit.

Power aware adaptation for video streaming

Power aware adaptation for a power aware video streaming system may be based on the complexity information conveyed in different ways. A complexity level of a data stream, such as a video data stream, may be selected as a function of a remaining battery power of a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) and on a state set of a plurality of state sets that may be stored and/or managed by the WTRU. These state sets may correspond to, for example, different content sources and/or different complexity estimation algorithms and may be used to select the complexity level of the data stream. The data stream may then be received at the selected complexity level. The complexity level and/or a bitrate of the data stream may be adapted to accommodate, for example, the remaining battery power and/or other circumstances. The adaptation may be customized according to the objectives of use cases.

Transmission method, reception method, transmission apparatus, and reception apparatus

A transmission method includes generating one or more frames for content transfer using IP packets, and transmitting the one or more generated frames by broadcast. Each of the one or more frames contains a plurality of second transfer units, each of the plurality of second transfer units contains one or more first transfer units, each of the one or more first transfer units contains at least one of the IP packets, an object IP packet of the IP packets contains first reference clock information indicating time for reproduction of the content in data structure different from MMT packet data structure, the object IP packet being stored in a first transfer unit positioned at a head in the one or more frames, the one or more frames contains control information storing second reference clock information indicating time for reproduction of the content, and header compression processing on the object IP packet is omitted.

Cloud-based digital content recorder apparatus and methods

Apparatus and methods for the storage and delivery of content over a network. In one embodiment, the network comprises a managed content distribution network, and the apparatus comprises a “cloud” digital video recorder (cDVR) server which stores, processes and assembles content prior to its delivery in a way that obviates superfluous storage, and gains significant network efficiencies. This approach also facilitates various pre-streaming processing in the video recording (e.g., cDVR) system. One or more content libraries adapted to facilitate cDVR content assembly and access are also disclosed. Secondary content (e.g., promotions, advertisements, etc.) can also be selectively inserted into cDVR content. Various access, business or operational rules and methods implementing the foregoing are also described.

System and method for creating and organizing content

The present invention is directed to a content creation system comprising one or more client devices, one or more servers including a database for storing information related to a plurality of items to be displayed and sold during a show, identification information associated with the plurality of items, a quantity of the plurality of items in stock in a warehouse, a plurality of audio segments, and a plurality of video segments, and a program creation unit for processing the information received from the database and for creating the show for subsequent broadcast, the show having a plurality of plays. The system also includes a network coupled to the one or more client devices and the one or more servers for allowing the one or more client devices to communicate with the one or more servers.

TECHNIQUES FOR EFFICIENT COMMUNICATION DURING A VIDEO COLLABORATION SESSION
20230007064 · 2023-01-05 ·

Techniques are disclosed for allowing remote participation in collaborative video review based on joint state data, for a video collaboration session, maintained by a video collaboration service. A user at a participant client device may provide one or more annotations, such as a drawing annotation, for the video data via a client application. The client application transmits computer-readable instructions for re-creating the drawing annotation to the service, which distributes the drawing instructions to the other participant client devices. Using the drawing instructions, the client applications at the client devices are configured to re-create the drawing annotation on the associated video frame displayed at the client devices. The joint state data communicated to client devices for a given session may include co-presence data that efficiently increases communication among the participants in a session. Co-presence data received by a participant client device may be depicted in a GUI of the client application.
