A device includes a processor that is configured to detect that a first image is captured by the device; configure the device to capture images in a first resolution after detecting that the first image was captured; start a timer; restart the timer when a second image is captured before the timer expires; detect an event indicative of a second resolution that is lower than the first resolution; and configure the device to capture images in the second resolution after detecting the event indicative of the second resolution.

Accessory and electronic apparatus

An accessory is detachably attachable to an electronic apparatus including a display. The accessory includes a communication unit configured to communicate with the electronic apparatus and an operation unit. If an operation is performed on the operation unit after the communication unit transmits information indicating a type of the accessory to the electronic apparatus, the communication unit transmits, to the electronic apparatus, a request for causing the display to display a setting image related to the accessory.

Reducing false triggers in motion-activated cameras
11546514 · 2023-01-03 · ·

This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for controlling motion-activated cameras. The present implementations more specifically relate to reducing false triggers in motion-activated camera systems. In some implementations, a motion-activated camera system may include a camera, a first motion sensor having a wide field-of-view (FOV), and a second motion sensor having a narrow FOV. In some aspects, the motion-activated camera system may be configured to operate in a wide-FOV mode or a narrow-FOV mode. In some implementations, the first motion sensor may trigger the camera to capture images of a scene responsive to motion detected in the wide FOV when the system is configured to operate in the wide-FOV mode. In some other implementations, the second motion sensor may trigger the camera to capture images of the scene responsive to motion detected in the narrow FOV when the system is configured to operate in the narrow-FOV mode.

IMAGING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

An imaging apparatus includes: a face detection sensor configured to detect a face of a user; a control unit configured to change an operational state of the imaging apparatus to a first operational state and stop an operation of the face detection sensor; and a movement detecting unit configured to detect a movement of the imaging apparatus, wherein the control unit operates the face detection sensor in response to a detection of a movement of the imaging apparatus by the movement detecting unit in the first operational state, and in a case where the face of the user is not detected by the face detection sensor in the first operational state, the control unit changes the operational state of the imaging apparatus from the first operational state to a second operational state in which power consumption is lower than that in the first operational state.

TERMINAL APPARATUS HAVING POWER-SAVING MODE, METHOD OF CONTROLLING SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
20220417444 · 2022-12-29 ·

A terminal apparatus capable of shifting to a power-saving mode with high accuracy in a case where a user puts the terminal apparatus in a bag or pocket A luminance distribution acquisition section acquires luminance distribution around the terminal apparatus. A storage area stores a learned model generated from time series information including the luminance distribution acquired by the luminance distribution acquisition section. A determination section determines, based on the time series information and the learned model, whether a user operation of the terminal apparatus has bee terminated or in progress. A power supply section shifts the terminal apparatus to the power-saving mode according to a result of the determination performed by the determination section.

Surveillance system and control method thereof

A gateway of a surveillance system, the gateway includes: a communication module configured to communicate with a plurality of network cameras including a first network camera and a second network camera; and a processor configured to recognize a motion of a subject based on event information transmitted by the first network camera and to transmit subject information generated based on the motion of the subject to the second network camera.

Image capture control apparatus and image capture control method
