A solid-state imaging device includes a second image sensor having an organic photoelectric conversion film transmitting a specific light, and a first image sensor which is stacked in layers on a same semiconductor substrate as that of the second image sensor and which receives the specific light having transmitted the second image sensor, in which a pixel for focus detection is provided in the second image sensor or the first image sensor. Therefore, an AF method can be realized independently of a pixel for imaging.

APPARATUS FOR ESTIMATING DEFOCUSING OF IMAGE, METHOD THEREOF, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

An apparatus includes at least one memory configured to store instructions, and at least one processor in communication with the at least one memory and configured to execute the instructions to set an estimation area to acquired image data, execute calculation for estimating a degree of defocusing of an image in the estimation area, determine defocusing of the image data based on the estimated degree of defocusing, and display information which allows a user to adjust a threshold for determining defocusing on a display.

Metrology system with projected pattern for points-from-focus type processes

A metrology system is provided including a projected pattern for points-from-focus type processes. The metrology system includes an objective lens portion, a light source, a pattern projection portion and a camera. Different lenses (e.g., objective lenses) having different magnifications and cutoff frequencies may be utilized in the system. The pattern projection portion includes a pattern component with a pattern. At least a majority of the area of the pattern includes pattern portions that are not recurring at regular intervals across the pattern (e.g., as corresponding to a diverse spectrum of spatial frequencies that result in a relatively flat power spectrum over a desired range and with which different lenses with different cutoff frequencies may be utilized). The pattern is projected on a workpiece surface (e.g., for producing contrast) and an image stack is acquired, from which focus curve data is determined that indicates 3 dimensional positions of workpiece surface points.

Provided is a display control device including a display control unit that controls display, on a display unit, of highlighting an edge portion of a subject corresponding to a state of an image depending on an in-focus state of the subject in the image being within a predetermined in-focus near range.

Distance measuring camera

A distance measurement camera 1 contains a first optical system OS1 for collecting light from a subject 100 to form a first subject image, a second optical system OS2 for collecting the light from the subject 100 to form a second subject image, an imaging part S for imaging the first subject image formed by the first optical system OS1 and the second subject image formed by the second optical system OS2, and a distance calculating unit 4 for calculating the distance to the subject 100 based on the first subject image and the second subject image imaged by the imaging part S. The distance calculating part 4 calculates the distance to the subject 100 based on an image magnification ratio between a magnification of the first subject image and a magnification of the second subject image.

Image capturing apparatus, method of controlling the same, and storage medium for controlling exposure

An image capturing apparatus, comprises an instructing unit capable of issuing an instruction for an image capture preparation operation and an instruction for an image capture operation, a metering unit configured to meter brightness of a subject, a calculating unit configured to calculate values of exposure parameters based on a metering result, an acquiring unit configured to acquire information related to an image capture lens; and a controlling unit configured to, when image capture is performed with light emitted by a light emitter, control the calculating unit so as to make different a calculation method for the values of the exposure parameters at the time of issuance of the instruction for the image capture preparation operation based on the information related to the image capture lens.

IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, OBSERVATION SYSTEM, AND OBSERVATION METHOD

An image processing apparatus includes a processor including hardware, the processor being configured to: determine whether or not an overlapping portion is present in imaging areas included in a plurality of images captured by a plurality of imagers, respectively, the plurality of imagers being are inserted into a subject to capture images of an observation target at different positions from each other; determine whether or not each of the plurality of imagers is inserted to a focal point position at which the observation target is in focus; and generate a composite image that is composed of the plurality of images when it is determined that each of the plurality of imagers is inserted to the focal point position and that the overlapping portion is present in the imaging areas.

FOCUS SETTING DETERMINATION
20230043761 · 2023-02-09 ·

A method of determining a focus setting for an image capture device. The method comprises, for each of a plurality of image zones: obtaining a first value of a focus metric for the respective image zone using a first image captured with a first focus setting for the image capture device; obtaining a second value of the focus metric for the respective image zone using a second image captured with a second focus setting for the image capture device; and processing the first value and the second value to obtain an estimated focus setting for the respective image zone. The focus setting is determined by performing a weighted sum of the estimated focus setting for at least two of the plurality of image zones.
