11627391 · 2023-04-11 · ·

A method and apparatus for capturing digital video includes displaying a preview of a field of view of the imaging device in a user interface of the imaging device. A sequence of images is captured. A main subject and a background in the sequence of images is determined, wherein the main subject is different than the background. A sequence of modified images for use in a final video is obtained, wherein each modified image is obtained by combining two or more images of the sequence of images such that the main subject in the modified image is blur free and the background is blurred. The sequence of modified images is combined to obtain the final video, which is stored in a memory of the imaging device, and displayed in the user interface.

Imaging systems projecting augmented information on a physical object that at a minimum include a processor, a memory device operably connected to the processor, a projector operably coupled to the processor, and a distance-measuring device operably connected to the processor. The memory device stores augmented image information, and the processor is configured to project augmented image information onto the physical object. The distance-measuring device is configured to measure the distance to the physical object. The processor uses distance measurement information from the distance measuring device to adjust scaling of the augmented image information. The processor provides the scale adjusted augmented image information to the projector. System can also be used for fluorescence imaging during open surgery, for endoscopic fluorescence imaging and for registration of surgical instruments.

POINT OF VIEW ABERRATIONS CORRECTION IN A SCANNING FOLDED CAMERA

Systems and methods for correcting point of view (POV) aberrations in scanning folded cameras and multi-cameras including such scanning folded cameras. In a Tele folded camera that includes an optical path folding element (OPFE) and an image sensor, the OPFE is tilted in one or two directions to direct the Tele folded camera towards a POV of a scene, a Tele image or a stream of Tele images is captured from the POV, the Tele image having POV aberrations and the POV aberrations are digitally corrected to obtain an aberration-corrected image or stream of images.

Systems and methods for stabilizing videos

A video may be captured by an image capture device in motion. A stabilized view of the video may be generated by providing a punchout of the video. The punchout of the video may compensate for rotation of the image capture device during capture of the video. The size of the punchout of the video may be changed based on different rotational positions of to provide a view that includes different extents of the captured visual content. The changes in the size of the punchout may simulate changes in zoom of the visual content.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ROLLING SHUTTER COMPENSATION

Disclosed are a system, apparatus, and method for rolling shutter compensation. An image having a plurality of scanlines captured at different times may be received from a rolling shutter camera where each scanline includes a plurality of 2D pixels, and where each scanline has an associated camera pose. One or more 2D pixels in a first scanline of the received image to 3D coordinates may be unprojected and the 3D coordinates may be transformed from the first scanline to a reference pose. The transformed 3D coordinates may be reprojected, and in response to the reprojecting, reference timeframe corrected 2D coordinates for the one or more 2D pixels in the first scanline may be provided.

One-pass video stabilization

A device is disclosed comprising a memory configured for holding video and a processor coupled to the memory. The memory contains computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the device to perform operations to stabilize the video, the operations comprising buffering consecutive original video frames, determining transformation matrices from subsets of the original video frames, wherein the transformation matrices represent estimates of stable camera motion, using the transformation matrices to warp the original video frames and generate video that is stabilized relative to the original video frames, and adjusting a size of a subset of original video frames in response to detecting a condition.

Imaging apparatus

An imaging apparatus combines images output from imaging units, and reduces such scenes that an image of a displaced subject is captured. The apparatus includes a driving unit that drives at least one imaging unit serving as a driving target among the imaging units, in predetermined driving modes, and a combining unit that combines pieces of image data acquired by the imaging units. The imaging units each include an imaging sensor in which photoelectric converters for converting light into an electrical signal are arranged in rows and columns. The driving unit divides a region for acquiring the image data into a plurality of regions each corresponding to a unit formed of one or more rows of the imaging sensor. The driving modes include a first driving mode in which the imaging unit serving as the driving target is sequentially switched for each exposure or readout of the unit.

CAMERA DETECTION OF HUMAN ACTIVITY WITH CO-OCCURRENCE

Methods, systems, and apparatus for camera detection of human activity with co-occurrence are disclosed. A method includes detecting a person in an image captured by a camera; in response to detecting the person in the image, determining optical flow in portions of a first set of images; determining that particular portions of the first set of images satisfy optical flow criteria; in response to determining that the particular portions of the first set of images satisfy optical flow criteria, classifying the particular portions of the first set of images as indicative of human activity; receiving a second set of images captured by the camera after the first set of images; and determining that the second set of images likely shows human activity based on analyzing portions of the second set of images that correspond to the particular portions of the first set of images classified as indicative of human activity.
