A control apparatus to control a vibration motor includes a control unit. The vibration motor includes a vibration body and a contact body contacting the vibration body. The control apparatus applies alternating voltages, generated based on pulse width and frequency of pulse signals, to an electro-mechanical energy conversion element of the vibration motor to cause relative movement between the vibration and contact bodies at a target velocity. The pulse width and the frequency are (i) set such that a first steady velocity exceeds the target velocity, before the relative movement starts, and (ii) changed such that a second steady velocity is less than the first steady velocity, after the relative movement starts, and before an actual velocity at a time of the relative movement exceeds the target velocity. The pulse width or the frequency is controlled such that the relative movement is performed at the target velocity.

Systems and methods for capturing measurements of images of an object to be measured using a mobile electronic device are disclosed. A method may include capturing a measurement image of a measured object within an observation region of a camera of the device, displaying a light-emitted image on a screen of the device, causing the screen to successively display multiple illumination images of a predefined illumination image sequence, and causing the screen of the device to display one or more of the illumination images of the predefined illumination images. The predefined illumination image sequence is set via a user interface of the device and a selection between different predefined illumination image sequences is rendered using the user interface. A control unit is configured to select a predefined illumination image sequence between several stored predefined illumination image sequences in dependence on a selection of the measured object of interest and/or a characteristic of interest.

Thus, image distortion due to, in particular, tangential and sagittal image blurs is effectively corrected by taking individual characteristics of the camera into account.
