Stereoscopic visualization camera and platform
A stereoscopic imaging apparatus and platform are disclosed. An example stereoscopic imaging apparatus includes a main objective assembly and left and right lens sets defining respective parallel left and right optical paths from light that is received from the main objective assembly of a target surgical site. Each of the left and right lens sets includes a front lens, first and second zoom lenses configured to be movable along the optical path, and a lens barrel configured to receive the light from the second zoom lens. The example stereoscopic imaging apparatus also includes left and right image sensors configured to convert the light after passing through the lens barrel into image data that is indicative of the received light. The example stereoscopic visualization camera further includes a processor configured to convert the image data into stereoscopic video signals or video data for display on a display monitor.

An image processing device includes: an image sensor configured to generate first image data by using a color filter array; and processing circuitry configured to select a processing mode from a plurality of processing modes for the first image data, the selecting being based on information about the first image data; generate second image data by reconstructing the first image data using a neural network processor based on the processing mode; and generate third image data by post-processing the second image data apart from the neural network processor based on the processing mode.

An image processing device replaces pixel values received from an imaging device that includes multiple types of pixels being arranged in a first pixel arrangement to detect different wavelength ranges of light, with pixel values of pixels in a second pixel arrangement different from the first pixel arrangement, by determining whether there is an edge indicating a direction along which pixels having a smaller change in pixel values are aligned that are positioned around a target pixel to be interpolated, and have a same color as the target pixel after replacement; and interpolating, if an edge is determined, a pixel value of the target pixel using the pixel values of the pixels along the direction of the edge, or if no edge, the pixel value of the target pixel using pixel values of pixels along a direction of another edge detected based on brightness around the target pixel.
Generating narrow-band spectral images from broad-band spectral images
System and method for narrowing the transmission curves obtained using a spectral imager in which spectral images are acquired using a MEMS Fabri-Perot (FP) tunable filter. A method includes acquiring a first plurality of broad-band spectral images associated with respective MEMS FP etalon states and processing the first plurality of broad-band spectral images into a second plurality of narrow-band spectral images.

An image sensor includes a pixel array including a plurality of pixels; a row driver configured to control the plurality of pixels; and an analog-to-digital converter configured to digitize a result sensed by the pixel array to generate a first image, wherein the pixel array includes: first pixel groups, wherein each first pixel group of the first pixel groups includes first white pixels and first color pixels among the plurality of pixels; and second pixel groups, wherein each second pixel group of the second pixel groups includes second white pixels and second color pixels among the plurality of pixels, and wherein first pixel data of the first image are generated based on the first white pixels and the first color pixels, and second pixel data of the first image are generated based on the second color pixels.
METHOD OF GENERATING AN OUTPUT SIGNAL OF A PDAF PIXEL
Disclosed is a method of generating an output signal of a PDAF pixel of an optoelectronic image sensor array, including detecting pixel signals of the pixels of the image sensor arranged within the environment of a PDAF pixel; determining a structure direction of an image structure imaged onto the image sensor from the pixel signals of at least some of the pixels arranged within the environment; and generating the output signal of the PDAF pixel, wherein, the output signal is generated in one case as an interpolation signal from the pixel signals of further pixels arranged within the environment and in another case as an amplified signal by correcting the pixel signal of the PDAF pixel with an amplification factor, wherein the output signal of the PDAF pixel is generated as the amplified signal when the structure direction differs from the first direction by less than a predefined angle.

An image sensor includes a pixel array including first to third pixel groups, including first to third color pixels having first to third colors and outputting first to third pixel signal for the first to third colors, and an image signal processor receiving the first to third pixel signals, wherein the image signal processor, when the first pixel signal is a bad pixel signal, performs bad pixel correction on the first pixel signal based on the second pixel signal and the third pixel signal and generates a remosaiced pixel signal for the first through third colors by remosaicing the second and third pixel signals based on each other, and the corrected pixel signal and the remosaiced pixel signal represent information in which the first through third color pixels are rearranged in a second pattern having a higher frequency than a frequency of a first pattern.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OBTAINING COLOR IMAGERY USING SINGLE PHOTON AVALANCHE DIODES
A system for obtaining color imagery using SPADs includes a SPAD array that has a plurality of SPAD pixels. Each of the plurality of SPAD pixels includes a respective color filter positioned thereover. The system is configurable to capture an image frame using the SPAD array and generate a filtered image by performing a temporal filtering operation using the image frame and at least one preceding image frame. The at least one preceding image frame is captured by the SPAD array at a timepoint that temporally precedes a timepoint associated with the image frame. The system is also configurable to, after performing the temporal filtering operation, generate a color image by demosaicing the filtered image.

A pixel value calibration method includes: obtaining input image data generated by pixels, the input image data including a first group of pixel values in a first color plane and a second group of pixel values in a second color plane, generated by a first portion and a second portion of the pixels respectively; determining a difference function associated with filter response values and target values, the filter response values being generated by utilizing characteristic filter coefficients to filter first and second estimated pixel values of estimated pixel data in the first and second color planes, respectively; determining a set of calibration filter coefficients by calculating a solution of the estimated pixel data, the solution resulting in a minimum value of the difference function; and filtering the input image data, by a filter circuit using the set of calibration filter coefficients, to calibrate the first group of pixel values.
