METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR VERIFYING LIGHT SOURCE OF IMAGES
An electronic device includes an image sensor including a pixel array, and an image processor electrically connected with the image sensor. The image processor is configured to acquire a first image of a subject generated based on a first group of optical paths and to acquire a second image of the subject generated based on a second group of optical paths, the second group of optical paths having a phase difference with the first group of optical paths from the pixel array, to normalize pixel values included in the first image and pixel values included in the second image in units of a pixel, and to verify a light source of light reflected by the subject or a light source of light produced from the subject, based on a parameter associated with changes in the normalized pixel values.
Automatic end to end photographic system
The present invention relates to an end-to-end photography model for setting the light and exposure in a digital photography device with an external lighting system. The present disclosure is for a system and a method for automatically setting one or more image parameters for improved photography and image aesthetics. Specifically, the present invention is for automatically setting light and exposure which can be implemented on a personal electronic device with an integrated image capturing device having integrated and/or external illumination system. The embodiments described herein in general relate to a system and method for analyzing and controlling image parameters to set precise light and exposure for the electronic image capturing device, particularly for a personal electronic device, such as smartphone and tablet, with an integrated image capturing device.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and storage medium
An apparatus configured to correct a captured image using a gloss component based on a virtual light source sets a light-source color of the virtual light source. The apparatus generates the gloss component on a subject in the captured image using the light-source color corrected according to a color tone of the captured image. The apparatus corrects the captured image by adding the generated gloss component to the captured image.
IN-OVEN CAMERA AND COMPUTER VISION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods include a cooking appliance comprising a heating element disposed within a cooking chamber and operable to selectively emit waves at any of a plurality of powers and/or peak wavelengths, a camera operable to capture an image of the cooking chamber, and a computing device operable to supply power to the heating element to vary the power and/or peak wavelength of the emitted waves and generate heat within the cooking chamber, and instruct the camera to capture the image when the heating element is emitting at a stabilized power and/or peak wavelength. The computing device is operable to generate an adjusted captured image by adjusting the captured image with respect to the stabilized power and/or peak wavelength. The computing device comprises feedback components operable to receive the adjusted captured image, extract features, and analyze the one or more features to determine an event, property, measurement and/or status.
CAMERA SYSTEM, EVENT RECORDING SYSTEM AND EVENT RECORDING METHOD
To reduce complication of a configuration of a vehicle while suppressing an increase in weight of the vehicle, a camera system mounted on a vehicle includes an imaging unit to capture multiple frame images of an outside of the vehicle per cycle and an image processor to obtain the multiple frame images from the imaging unit and separate the multiple frame images into a first given number of frame images as a recognition target and a second given number of frame images as a storage target to be stored in an image recorder. The image processor separately outputs the first and second given numbers of frame images to be recognized and stored, respectively.
IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR COLOR BALANCING
An image processing device performing color balancing of a first image and at least a second image is provided. The image processing device comprises a color balancing determination unit and a color balancing calculation unit.
The color balancing determination unit determines a global gain vector (t) comprising at least two gain factors (â.sup.n, â.sup.n+1) of the first and second images by minimizing a cost function based upon reference pixel values of the first and second images. The first and second image reference pixels depict a shared color scene of the two images.
The color balancing calculation unit performs color balancing of the first image based upon the gain factor (â.sup.n) of the first image and to perform a color balancing of the second image based upon the gain factor (â.sup.n+1) of the second image.
REDUCE BLUE LIGHT AT SET-TOP BOX TO ASSIST WITH SLEEP
In some embodiments, a method, system, or computer-readable storage device including instructions for reducing the blue light component of displayed video can include one or more of the following features: receiving, at a set-top box, a video signal having a white color balance, the white color balance including a red component value. The set-top box can determine that the current time is after a threshold night value and before a threshold morning value and, based on that, adjust the white color balance of the video signal to increase the red component value. The set-top box can then transmit the video signal with the adjusted white color balance to a display device.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS
An electronic apparatus includes: a processing unit that processes an image capture signal captured by an image capturing unit; a communication unit that is capable of transmitting the image capture signal captured by the image capturing unit to an external apparatus; and a determination unit that determines whether or not to transmit the image capture signal to the external apparatus, according to a capture setting for the image capturing unit.
IMAGE MODIFICATION BASED ON OBJECTS OF INTEREST
In various example embodiments, a system and method for modifying images are presented. The system receives a user interface selection initiating an image capture and detects a first image capture parameter. The system identifies an object of interest within a field of view of an image capture device and identifies a set of object characteristics of the object of interest. The system generates a parameter notification indicating a suggested modification of the first image capture parameter based on one or more object characteristics of the set of object characteristics. The system causes presentation of the parameter notification at the image capture device.
Adaptive camera white balance system and method
A method for color correction in a camera system having a camera, a light source and a controller, the method comprising: setting a first light source drive current level; performing a first white balance operation and obtaining at least one of red gain, blue gain and green gain values corresponding to the first light source drive current level; setting a second light source drive current level different than the first light source drive current level; performing a second white balance operation and obtaining at least one of red gain, blue gain and green gain values corresponding to the second light source drive current level; and determining a relationship between light source current levels and at least one of red gain, blue gain and green gain values using the obtained at least one of red gain, blue gain and green gain values corresponding to the first and second light source drive current levels.
