PRINTER CALIBRATION

Certain examples described herein relate to printer calibration. In certain cases, measurement data is received, the measurement data indicative of an adjustment to be applied to a given colorant in a set of colorants printable by a printing system. In certain examples, a Neugebauer primary area coverage (NPac) vector comprising an area coverage of a first Neugebauer primary (NP) is obtained. Based on the received measurement data, the NPac vector is adjusted by decreasing the area coverage in the NPac vector of the first NP and increasing an area coverage in the NPac vector of a second NP. The first NP and the second NP correspond to colorant combinations that differ by a predetermined amount of the given colorant.

Image display unit and image forming apparatus including the same

An image display unit capable of displaying image data page-wise includes: a scanner portion; a display panel for displaying input image data in preview representation; an input condition determiner that compares the image data successively input through the scanner portion, as to input condition and determines whether there is any change in the image data input condition; and a display controller that, when the input condition determiner determines that the input image data has changed in the input condition, makes control such as to display the image data that was determined to have changed in the input condition and the image data input immediately before the image data in question, together on the display panel.

Determining image forensics using an estimated camera response function
10621430 · 2020-04-14 · ·

An image forensics system estimates a camera response function (CRF) associated with a digital image, and compares the estimated CRF to a set of rules and compares the estimated CRF to a known CRF. The known CRF is associated with a make and a model of an image sensing device. The system applies a fusion analysis to results obtained from comparing the estimated CRF to a set of rules and from comparing the estimated CRF to the known CRF, and assesses the integrity of the digital image as a function of the fusion analysis.

Copying apparatus and method capable of calibrating copy position
10530961 · 2020-01-07 · ·

A copying apparatus capable of calibrating a copy position comprises a scanning module scanning an original to obtain an original image; and a processing module being electrically connected to the scanning module and recognizing whether the original image contains an original mark corresponding to a template mark. If the original image contains the original mark, then the processing module generates print data for being printed out according to the original image and a position parameter of the template mark. A copying method capable of calibrating the copy position is also provided. Thus, the copy position can be calibrated according to the mark of the original to prevent the copy result from having a positional offset. Consequently, no positional offset occurs even if the original is copied multiple times based on the previous generation of original.

Example implementations relate to scan bar calibration. For example, a system for scan bar calibration may include instructions executable by a processing resource to implement a plurality of scanning settings at a scan bar index location of a scanning device. The system may further include instructions to execute a scan bar calibration of a calibration target at the scan bar index location, and generate a scan bar calibration table for the scan bar index location based on the executed scan bar calibration.
