Mower chute gate controller
An apparatus for mechanically controlling the opening and closing of a gate hingedly mounted at the upper margin of a portal, leveraging the gate from a closed position to either a fully open position or a partially-open resting position. The gate opening function is controlled by a lever-handle actuated gate lifting assembly including a lift leverage bracket carrying a lift actuating rod engageable with a fulcrumatic gate pickup bracket lifting a lifting element of a gate attachment arm providing a hinged connection for the chute gate. The gate closing-catch function is controlled by a pivoting gate stop bracket carried on a second gate attachment arm; the gate stop bracket is biased to have a catch end ridable along an edge of a second riser mount for the second hinged connection for the gate, until the catch end seats or lodges in a closing-catch notch of the second riser mount.

Riding lawn mower
A riding lawn mower has an internal combustion engine and a muffler with a first housing. The internal combustion engine is connected to the muffler to supply exhaust gases originating from the internal combustion engine to the first housing of the muffler for noise damping of the exhaust gases. A second housing is provided that thermally insulates the first housing of the muffler. The second housing at least partially encloses the first housing of the muffler. The second housing has an exterior side with an emissivity of greater than 0.8.

RIDING LAWN MOWER
A riding lawn mower having an adjustable cutting width has at least one front wheel, a plurality of rear wheels, a frame extending from the at least one front wheel to the plurality of rear wheels and a plurality of cutting decks, each cutting deck comprising a cutting blade. A motor is supported by the frame and configured to drive the cutting blades of the cutting decks. A support configured to couple the cutting decks to the frame. The support is configured to extend at least one of the cutting decks laterally from beneath the frame to adjust a cutting width provided by the blades.
WALK POWER MOWER HAVING FORWARD AND REVERSE TRACTION DRIVE
A walk power mower has a traction drive system that includes a front transmission powering a pair of front wheels and a rear transmission powering a pair of rear wheels. A first one of the transmissions provides forward motion of the mower when it is active and a second one of the transmissions provides rearward motion of the mower when it is active. A slidable handle grip on the handle having a cross bar long enough to be gripped by both hands of the user activates the first one of the transmission when it is slid downwardly on a handle out of a neutral position thereof. The slidable handle grip activates the second one of the transmissions when it is slid upwardly on the handle out of the neutral position.

Weed trimmer extension device
A weed trimmer extension device for cutting and collecting, or dispersing weeds includes a cutting enclosure, to which can be attached a collecting bag or a cutting disperser; a replacement cutting implement; and enclosure fasteners, for attaching the weed trimmer extension device to a weed trimmer. The cutting implement can further include a cutting blade and a perpendicular fin, which pushes air in a circular direction of motion, thereby creating a vortex of air, which rotates in the plane spanned out by the rotating cutting blade. The cutting enclosure covers the replacement cutting implement, which propels the cuttings, contained and directed by the cutting enclosure, into either the collecting bag or the cutting disperser, which disperses the weed cuttings over an area to the side.
