An MFP system includes a master device and a slave device. The slave device includes an operation acceptor, and an image reader, and is capable of communicating among a plurality of MFPs. The slave device includes an other-MFP transmission requester that makes a request to another MFP such that image data is transmitted by FAX transmission to a transmission destination. The master device includes an associator that, when an other-MFP transmission request is accepted from the slave device, associates and stores transmission destination information and the slave device, and when image data is received from the outside, the master device determines whether or not information of a transmission destination to which the image data was transmitted is stored in the associator, and if the information of the transmission destination is stored in the associator, transmits the image data received from the outside to the associated slave device.

An information processing apparatus (MFP) performs communication control for receiving an advertisement (ADV) packet transmitted from a mobile terminal while regularly transmitting an ADV packet that includes service information regarding a service provided by the information processing apparatus, in conformity with the BLE standard. In this state, every time the MFP detects an ADV packet that designates the information processing apparatus as a communication partner in BLE communication, the MFP performs communication control for transmitting a connection request to the mobile terminal that is the transmission source of the ADV packet as a response to the detected ADV packet. The MFP thus serves as a master to establish a BLE connection with each mobile terminal.
Multi-camera system content capture and management
Synchronization of simultaneously captured media in a multi-camera system is performed using a consistent file structure within the cameras. A primary camera receives a bitmap describing the file and folder utilization of each of one or more secondary cameras. The primary camera selects a folder number and file position number that is commonly available across all cameras. The primary camera directs the secondary cameras to store subsequently simultaneously captured media content at the selected file number and folder position number. During post-processing, simultaneously-captured content is accessed based on common folder numbers and file position numbers. A post-processing system compares a timestamp associated with each content file in a group with matching folder numbers and file position numbers to identify false positive groupings.

Methods and devices for providing notifications for camera resource availability may include receiving requests from a plurality of applications for control of a camera resource. The methods and devices may include providing control of the camera resource to a selected application from the plurality of applications when another application does not have control of the camera resource. The methods and devices may include sending a control notification to one or more applications, including at least one of the plurality of applications indicating that the selected application has control of the camera resource. The methods and devices may include sending an availability notification to the one or more applications, including the at least one of the plurality of applications indicating that the selected application has released the control of the camera resource.
