A processing system includes a terminal held by a user and a processing apparatus that executes a process designated by the user. The terminal includes a memory that stores screen information for configuring a setting screen for the process. The screen information is set by the user. The processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit and a receiving unit. The acquisition unit acquires the screen information from the terminal through short-distance wireless communication. The receiving unit displays the setting screen in accordance with the acquired screen information and receives a setting change performed by the user on the setting screen.

An MFP (image processing apparatus) activates a specific AP by a software AP mode for using a setting service that allows an external apparatus to perform network setting to cause the MFP to connect to a network by the software AP mode. If the MFP receives, from a mobile terminal via a WLAN I/F, a connection request to the activated specific AP, the MFP executes processing to limit the number of external apparatuses (mobile terminals) that can connect to the specific AP to use a WLAN setting service. The MFP limits, for example, the number of the external apparatuses that can connect to the specific AP to one.

A control unit in an MFP determines whether a connection request from a communication device carried by a user has been received. If the control unit determines that the connection request has been received, then the control unit issues network identification information and transmits it to the communication device. When a connection is established, the control unit automatically alters the operation screen to an operation screen related to image processing based on the information transmitted/received to/from the communication device, and accepts an operation to execute image processing.

An information processing apparatus that performs a direct wireless communication with a communication terminal includes a wireless LAN interface, a memory device that stores set of instructions, and at least one processor that executes the instructions of controlling the wireless LAN interface to activate an access point to be used in the direct wireless communication, and controlling, upon condition that the information processing apparatus operates in a first mode where an instruction for a predetermined setting change of the information processing apparatus is waited for from the communication terminal by using the direct wireless communication, transmission and reception of data via the access point by using a first communication filter, and controlling, upon condition that the information processing apparatus operates in a second mode which is different from the first mode, the transmission and the reception of the data via the access point by using a second communication filter.

An image processing apparatus, including an image processing unit, a controller, a power source, and a USB interface with a connector and a current detector, is provided. The controller starts delivering power to an external device through the USB interface by controlling the power source in a case where connection with the external device is detected, and, in a case where a job requiring the image processing unit to process an images is received, and in a case where a difference between a smallest value and a largest value among current values detected by the current detector within a predetermined length of time while the power is delivered to the external device exceeds a threshold value, the controller commands the USB interface to restrict power delivery to the external device.

A server device includes a receiving unit, a browse page creation unit, a mail creation unit, and a mail transmission unit. The receiving unit receives an image transmitted from an electronic camera via a wireless network. The browse page creation unit creates a browse page for browsing the transmitted image from the electronic camera, the image having been received by the receiving unit. The mail creation unit creates a notification mail for introducing the browse page that has been created by the browse page creation unit to a person other than a user of the electronic camera. Furthermore, the mail transmission unit transmits the notification mail that has been created by the mail creation unit to a specified mail address.

An electronic device, including a power source, power-consuming devices, a USB interface, a command receiver, a memory, and a controller, is provided. The controller forecasts at least one of the power-consuming devices to be used in one of a plurality of time segments, calculates a level of total operation power being sum of power required by the forecasted at least one of the power-consuming devices for the time segment with reference to values of power stored in the memory, and determine a level of the power to be delivered to an external device connected to the USB interface in the time segment based on the level of the total operation power and the level of the power capacity in the power source. The controller controls the power source to deliver the determined level of the power to the external device through the USB interface during the time segment.
