An image forming system to control an image forming apparatus by using a messenger application, a mobile device, and a method are provided. The image forming system includes a mobile device to activate a chat user interface to interface with an account of the image forming apparatus on the messenger application, and sending user messages to control a printing function of the image forming apparatus, a cloud server to receive the user messages from a messenger server, providing response messages of the account of the image forming apparatus in response to the user messages, and communicating with the mobile device in a conversational manner, thus controlling the printing of the image forming apparatus, and an image forming apparatus whose printing is controlled by the cloud server based on the user messages or providing monitoring information of a current status.

Certain embodiments of the present invention provide the ability to control a camera from a wearable mechanism device, such as a watch, pendant or other device with its own limited display. Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a wearable mechanism device for remotely controlling a camera with an intuitive user interface and sequencing of interface options. In one embodiment, the display on the wearable mechanism changes before a picture or video is taken with the electronic camera. Certain embodiments of the present invention provide the ability to partially control a camera from the wearable mechanism device, providing split control.

A mobile terminal capable of setting a cover sheet and a header of a fax document and causing an image forming apparatus to transmit the fax document. Cover data representative of a cover sheet is created according to the settings of a cover sheet of a fax document, and header data representative of a header is created according to the settings of a header of the fax document. Upon receipt of an instruction for transmitting a fax document from the user, the mobile terminal transmits an instruction to the image forming apparatus for reading an original and transmitting the fax document, together with transmission destination information indicative of a transmission destination to which the fax document is to be transmitted and at least one of the cover data and the header data.

A portable terminal comprises an ID acquisition section, a position information acquisition section and a return instruction section. The ID acquisition section acquires ID information that specifies a print job sent from an information processing apparatus to an image forming apparatus. In a case in which the ID information is acquired and a beacon signal is received from a beacon transmitter, the position information acquisition section acquires, according to the received beacon information, position information relating to a position of the portable terminal relative to the image forming apparatus. If the position information meets a specific condition indicating the approach of the portable terminal to the image forming apparatus, the return instruction section instructs the image forming apparatus to return from a power-saving mode to a normal mode.

When proximity of the mobile terminal is detected in a state of displaying a specific screen on an operation display portion, an image forming apparatus transmits operation input information associated with the specific screen in advance to the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal displays an operation input screen based on the operation input information transmitted from the image forming apparatus and transmits operation content instructed by a user from the operation input screen to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus updates the specific screen in accordance with the operation content transmitted from the mobile terminal.

A mobile terminal operated in cooperation with an information processing device capable of setting an authentication mode relating to user authentication to one mode selected from two kinds of modes of an authentication request mode requiring the user authentication, and a non-authentication request mode not requiring the user authentication, the mobile terminal including: a display unit configured to display a confirmation message inquiring a user of the mobile terminal whether to perform authentication operation; and a control unit configured to control display operation for displaying the confirmation message, acquiring, from the information processing device, authentication mode information being information representing whether the authentication mode is the authentication request mode or the non-authentication request mode, and displaying the confirmation message on the display unit, on condition that the authentication mode information is acquired, the authentication mode information representing that the authentication mode is the authentication request mode.

A mobile terminal device includes a communication interface; a processor; and memory. The communication interface is configured to receive a push notification transmitted from a server. The memory stores device information and a set of computer-readable instructions therein. The device information specifies a specific device. The computer-readable instructions, when executed by the processor, causes the mobile terminal device to perform: determining whether a prescribed condition is met, the prescribed condition requiring that the push notification target a user of the specific device; and outputting the push notification in response to determining that the prescribed condition is met.

An image forming apparatus according to the present invention validates beam forming for a terminal device being a transmission destination when transmitting a second type operation screen capable of receiving an operation instruction with regard to a gesture operation by a user to a terminal device wirelessly connected on a remote panel mode.

An image processing device including a reception unit, an acquisition unit, an image reading unit, and a transmission unit. The reception unit receives a processing identifier associated with image reading processing. The acquisition unit acquires processing information associated with the processing identifier, the processing information including at least information regarding a storing location. The image reading unit reads an image on the basis of the processing information. The transmission unit transmits data of the read image to the storing location according to the processing information.

Disclosed is an image forming apparatus that includes: a detecting unit configured to detect a user approaching the image forming apparatus; a communication unit configured to be capable of receiving the job from a mobile terminal via short-range wireless communication; and a controlling unit that controls a power supply such that electric power is supplied from the power supply to a first device and a second device in response to detection of the user by the detecting unit, and controls the power supply such that in response to designation of a job from the mobile terminal via the short-range wireless communication, the power supply continues supply of the electric power to the first device that is used for executing the designated job and the power supply stops supply of the electric power to the second device that is not used for executing the designated job.
