The present disclosure provides a method, apparatus, and storage medium for establishing network a connection with an image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus obtains an operation instruction for generating configuration information about a wireless network connection. According to the operation instruction, the image forming apparatus generates the configuration information including a service set identifier (SSID) and a password of a wireless network. When generating the configuration information, the image forming apparatus generates activation information of a wireless access point (AP) in the image forming apparatus. After the image forming apparatus activates the AP based on the activation information, a terminal device is able to establish the wireless network connection with the image forming apparatus, based on the configuration information.

A service providing system is for providing a service that is in cooperation with a printing service that is provided by an external printing system. The service providing system includes a job obtaining unit configured, when receiving from the printing system a notification representing that a print job is created by the printing service, to obtain the print job from the printing system; a job managing unit configured to store, in a job storage unit, the print job obtained by the job obtaining unit; and a job transmitting unit configured to transmit the print job stored in the job storage unit in response to a print job request from an image forming apparatus that is coupled to the service providing system via a network.

The method comprises the steps of receiving, from a fax server software module, fax data associated with a fax message to be transmitted from a fax message sending device to a fax message receiving device; deciding, on the basis of at least one predetermined routing rule, whether to route the fax data to the fax communication device or to the cloud provider; and based on a decision result, selectively transmitting the fax data to the fax communication device or to the cloud provider for transmission to the fax message receiving device.

A display device in the image forming apparatus displays a marker associated with location information of a user who has instructed execution of printing on a recording medium. The portable terminal device includes an information acquisition circuit and a position notification image output circuit. The information acquisition circuit photographs the marker displayed on the display device using an imaging device, so as to acquire the location information registered in the marker registration circuit, and the location information is associated with the marker photographed by the imaging device.
