The printing unit aggregate-prints the scanned images specified as the aggregation target range, of the plurality of scanned images.

Digital signature authentication systems and methods are disclosed. An example method of authenticating a digital signature extracted from a high resolution image includes comparing an extracted signature from an image to a reference signature. The example method also includes authenticating the extracted signature against the reference signature according to one of a plurality of different authentication protocols.

Copy method of generating and comparing generation-count information
A copy method used in a copy system or a copy apparatus connected to a cloud server includes steps of: scanning a document to obtain old image data containing an old information block; generating new image data containing a new information block according to the old image data; printing the new image data on a medium; and comparing different generations of original image data, one of which is contained in the old image data, in the cloud server to judge whether improper modifications are present on the original image data or not, and notifying an information office to perform an inspection when the improper modifications are present.

A hold scan control unit of an image processing apparatus provided with a scanner accepts a selection of a ticket that has a sharing setting to share the ticket, wherein the ticket is stored in the image processing apparatus and includes one or more settings required for scan processing executed by the scanner and for transmission processing of a file that includes an image that has been generated by the scan processing, acquires an access token based on the authorization of a user that uses the ticket in a case in which the ticket is used by a user that is different from the user that is set in the selected ticket and, executes the scan processing and the transmission processing by using the acquired access token according to a setting that is included in the ticket.
Security management apparatus
A security management apparatus includes a receiver, a printer, and a notifier. The receiver acquires, at an entrance of a facility, information about a visitor to a visiting destination of the facility. The information includes a stay permitted time at the visiting destination and at least one of an attribute, relation information, or a visiting purpose. The printer generates a portable medium that includes the information and the stay permitted time and records an image allowing distinguishing of content of the information. The notifier is configured to receive the stay permitted time from one or more readers disposed at the facility and is configured to read the stay permitted time from the portable medium in a noncontact manner. The notifier, in response to the stay permitted time being elapsed, warns the visitor who passes a disposition position of the one or more readers.
Salient point-based arrangements
A variety of methods and systems involving sensor-equipped portable devices, such as smartphones and tablet computers, are described. One particular embodiment decodes a digital watermark from imagery captured by the device and, by reference to watermark payload data, obtains salient point data corresponding to an object depicted in the imagery. Other embodiments obtain salient point data for an object through use of other technologies (e.g., NFC chips). The salient point data enables the device to interact with the object in a spatially-dependent manner. Many other features and arrangements are also detailed.

VEHICLE IMAGING AND INSPECTION SYSTEM
A front-end image acquisition component acquires photographs and/or videos of the exterior of a vehicle traveling on a path between a first predefined location and a second predefined location. In one aspect, an image acquisition system comprises a first camera support structure, a second camera support structure, an image processor, and a memory. Cameras are affixed to each of the camera support structures for acquiring image data of a subject vehicle. Image data is controlled by the image processor and the memory. In another aspect, a method of identifying features of the exterior of a vehicle includes acquiring a series of images from a front-end component, accessing previously acquired images and associated metadata stored in a database, executing machine learning algorithms using the previously acquired information to identify at least one exterior vehicle feature, and executing machine learning algorithms using the presently acquired series of images to identify at least one exterior feature of the vehicle.
