Authentication device and associated authentication method based on a difference in alignment or a similarity in relative position of features of unique identifiers printed over images and/or text
A method including generating first images and/or text on a plurality of items, printing a plurality of unique identifiers, each unique identifier being printed over the images and/or text on a corresponding one of the plurality of items, capturing a plurality of second images, each second image including a corresponding one of the plurality of unique identifiers, and storing the captured plurality of second images in a computer readable memory.
Image processing apparatus for reading check boxes
An image processing apparatus includes an image reading portion, a position detection portion, and a print processing portion. The image reading portion is configured to read an image of a document. The position detection portion is configured to detect position information of each of check boxes included in a read image by the image reading portion. The print processing portion is configured to be able to print a position specifying image indicating the position information of each of check boxes detected by the position detection portion.
Methods and systems for processing references included in a document
Disclosed herein are methods and systems for processing a number of references mentioned in a document. A job request including a document for processing from a user is received. The document is at least one of a hardcopy document and a digital document. A multi-function device prompts the user to select a reference processing option when the user wants at least one reference of the document to be processed. Based on the selection of the reference processing option one or more references mentioned in the document are determined. Based on the determined one or more references, a referred content information for each of the one or more reference is searched. Then the referred content information along with one or more options including at least one of a print option, a save option and a send option are presented to the user.
Signal continuity assessment using embedded watermarks
Methods, apparatus, and systems use embedded watermarks to determine whether the segments of a multimedia content has been rearranged. The embedded watermarks are recovered from the content and one or more attributes associated with the recovered watermarks are identified. A continuity of the content can then be assessed in accordance with the one or more attributes. The continuity assessment may be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a determined heartbeat of the recovered watermarks, a density, separation, location, or extent, of the recovered watermarks, as well as information associated with the watermarks, such as a stego key, channel bits, packet numbers, a fingerprint, or the like.
IMAGE OUTPUT SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, AND AUTHENTICATION DEVICE
An image output method includes capturing an image of code pattern including device information specifying an image output device, obtaining the device information from the image of code pattern, obtaining user information specifying a user, and outputting the device information and the user information to an external device, by an information processing device; authenticating the user based on the user information, by a processor; executing image output processing instructed by the user authenticated based on the user information, by the image output device specified based on the device information; transmitting a result of the image output processing by the image output device to the information processing device, by the image output device; and displaying the result of the image output processing by the information processing device.
Decoloring device, image processing system, and decoloring method
According to one embodiment, a decoloring device includes a reading unit, a decoloring unit, and a control unit. The reading unit is configured to read control information from a first image formed in a predetermined area of a sheet. The decoloring unit is configured to decolor a portion or entirety of a second image, different from the first image, formed on the sheet using a decolorable recording material. The control unit is configured to control erasing of the data of the second image from a storage device, based on the control information, in a case where the decoloring unit decolors the second image.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A camera scanner captures an image of a document stand on which an object is placed using a camera unit. The camera scanner obtains an IP address of an electronic terminal (a smartphone) and an identifier of an image from the image of a display screen of the electronic terminal placed on the document stand by detecting and decoding a QR code. The camera scanner is connected to the electronic terminal based on the IP address, transmits a data transfer request including the identifier of the image to the electronic terminal, and receives image data transferred from the electronic terminal in response to the data transfer request. Then the camera scanner projects and plays an image generated based on the data transferred from the electronic terminal on the document stand using a projector.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCLUDING IMAGE FORMING UNITS THAT FORM A DEVELOPER IMAGE AND SELECTIVELY FORM A MARK IMAGE
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device which forms an image on a recording medium and an image scanning device which transmits scanned image data to the image forming device. The image forming device includes a receiver, a first image forming unit, a second image forming unit, and a controller. The receiver receives at least one of external image data transmitted from an external device and the scanned image data as input image data. The first image forming unit forms a developer image based on the input image data on the recording medium. The second image forming unit forms a mark image on the recording medium. The controller determines whether to make the second image forming unit form the mark image or not depending on a type of a transmission source of the input image data.
COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM, IMAGING CONTROL METHOD, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium stores therein an imaging control program that causes a computer to execute a process including: acquiring imaging condition, upon detection that a reference object is included in a captured image taken by a camera, the imaging condition being associated with identification information of the detected reference object by referring to a storage that stores a plurality of imaging conditions in association with pieces of identification information of a plurality of reference objects respectively; determining whether the captured image is corresponding to the acquired imaging condition; and outputting, when the imaging condition is corresponding to the acquired imaging condition, an instruction to the camera to capture another image.
Systems and methods for preserving and managing document chain of custody
A computerized system for preserving and managing an audit trail associated with printing of a sensitive document, the system including: a printing device disposed on a local area network; a network-connected appliance disposed on the local area network and communicatively coupled to the printing device, the network-connected appliance configured to receive a request from a client system for printing of the sensitive document, to log information related to the received printing request and to release the sensitive document to the printing device for printing; and a server disposed outside of the local area network and configured to receive from the network-connected appliance the logged information related to the printing request and to aggregate and store the logged information on a storage device for subsequent search and retrieval. The computerized system additionally implements the enforcement side of improper document handling and enables identifications of the user(s) who mishandled the specific document(s).
