An electronic device and a method for processing an image by the electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention are provided. The method may comprise: generating password information for a first image using security information of a user; changing the first image to a second image using the generated password information; and transmitting the second image and the password information in response to a transmission request of the first image. A print control apparatus includes an output unit that outputs information for displaying a screen indicating that continuous printing processing is not executable in a case where it is determined that continuous printing processing is not executable. In a case where the information for displaying the screen indicating that continuous printing processing is not executable is output, the screen indicating that continuous printing processing is not executable is displayed on a display unit.

An example electronic device includes a watermark scanner to scan a watermark embedded on an initial page of a physical medium. The electronic device also includes a gesture sensor to detect a hand movement of a consumer associated with the physical medium. The electronic device further includes a controller to: determine a page number of the initial page based on the scanned watermark; determine a current page number based on the page number of the initial page; determine a page number of a subsequent page of the physical medium based on the detected hand movement and the current page number; and determine payoff information associated with the subsequent page based on the page number of the subsequent page.

Tools (e.g., a device administration application) may be provided to permit a document production administrator to configure stamper parameters and to pick and choose parameters to be made available for setting by users of a multi-function document processing (MFP) device, for example, via a graphical user interface (GUI) provided on the operational display of the MFP device. The device administration application may be configured to permit the document production administrator to configure, from a user terminal or from the MFP device, a stamper GUI portion of a graphical user interface (GUI) provided on the operational display of the MFP device.

A front-end image acquisition component acquires photographs and/or videos of the exterior of a vehicle traveling on a path between a first predefined location and a second predefined location. In one aspect, an image acquisition system comprises a first camera support structure, a second camera support structure, an image processor, and a memory. Cameras are affixed to each of the camera support structures for acquiring image data of a subject vehicle. Image data is controlled by the image processor and the memory. In another aspect, an image acquisition system comprises a first camera tower, a second camera tower, a camera boom. Cameras are affixed to each of the camera towers.

An electronic imprinting device includes a display, an operation unit, a recognition processing unit, a storage unit, and an imprint processing unit. The display performs a display. The operation unit accepts an operation of a user. The recognition processing unit recognizes a character included in first document data and detects a guide character that indicates an imprinting position. The storage unit stores imprint data representing an imprint. The imprint processing unit, when the recognition processing unit recognizes that the first document data includes the guide character, generates second document data as data to which an imprint image represented by the imprint data is affixed at a position of the guide character, the second document data including a content of the first document data.

According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes an image reading unit, a recognition unit, and an image data generation unit. The image reading unit generates image data by reading an original document image having a first image which is formed by a first recording agent emitting light under ultraviolet light and a second image which is formed by a second recording agent that is readable under visible light. The recognition unit recognizes position information of the second image from image data of the first image which is read by the image reading unit. The image data generation unit generates corrected image data which is obtained by correcting image data of the second image based on the position information.

When receiving an electronic mail from a mail server, an MFP generates received information regarding the received electronic mail and prints an image attached to the electronic mail on a sheet together with the generated received information. A user sets in advance a sheet size used for reception print via a setting screen for a reception print size. When the sheet size is set, the MFP determines whether a length of a side parallel to an order of a character string of the received information to be printed is a predetermined length or longer and performs control to prevent a size determined as not having the predetermined length or longer from being set as a sheet size to be used for printing the image attached to the electronic mail together with the received information.

In an image forming apparatus, an extraction processing portion extracts one or more items of personal information from image data of a card read by an image reading portion. A document data acquiring portion acquires image data of a fixed-form document. A document layout acquiring portion acquires document layout information that indicates one or more composite positions in the image data of the fixed-form document where the one or more items of personal information are to be combined. A composition processing portion generates composite image data by combining the personal information extracted by the extraction processing portion with the image data of the fixed-form document in accordance with the document layout information. A print control portion causes an image forming portion to execute a composite image printing process of printing a composite image represented by the composite image data on a sheet.
