Portable electronic device for photo management
A portable electronic device with a touch screen display for photo management is disclosed. One aspect of the invention involves a computer-implemented method in which the portable electronic device displays an array of thumbnail images corresponding to a set of photographic images. The device replaces the displayed array of thumbnail images with a user-selected photographic image upon detecting a user contact with a corresponding thumbnail image in the array. The user-selected photographic image is displayed at a larger scale than the corresponding thumbnail image. The portable device displays a different photographic image in replacement of the user-selected photographic image in accordance with a scrolling gesture. The scrolling gesture comprises a substantially horizontal movement of user contact with the touch screen display.
COMMUNICATION TERMINAL, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING COMMUNICATION TERMINAL, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A communication terminal acquires a captured image from an image capturing apparatus and transfers the captured image to a server. The communication terminal includes: a first communication unit configured to communicate with the image capturing apparatus; a second communication unit configured to communicate with the server; a display unit configured to communicate with the image capturing apparatus, acquire, from the image capturing apparatus, a captured image managed by the image capturing apparatus, and display the captured image; a sound input unit configured to accept sound input for generating a terminal sound memo related to the displayed captured image; a storage unit configured to store the generated terminal sound memo in association with the captured image; and a control unit configured to perform control so that the second communication unit transfers, to the server, the acquired captured image and the generated terminal sound memo associated with the captured image.
Multi-function apparatus and method for authenticating received facsimile data and outputting the received facsimile
An image information providing apparatus provides received image information to a registered user if a sender of the received image information matches a communication destination included in a list of communication destinations corresponding to the registered user.
Storing metadata related to captured images
The present disclosure relates to user-selected metadata related to images captured by a camera of a client device. User-selected metadata may include contextual information and/or information provided by a user when the images are captured. In various implementations, a free form input may be received at a first client device of one or more client devices operated by a user. A task request may be recognized from the free form input, and it may be determined that the task request includes a request to store metadata related to one or more images captured by a camera of the first client device. The metadata may be selected based on content of the task request. The metadata may then be stored, e.g., in association with one or more images captured by the camera, in computer-readable media. The computer-readable media may be searchable by the metadata.
Augmented reality apparatus and method
An augmented reality experience is provided to a user of a hand held device, such as a mobile phone, which incorporates an electronic processor, a camera and a display. In particular, images taken from video footage are displayed in a display of a hand held device together with a live camera view, to create the illusion that the subject of the videoie the virtual moving imageis present in the field of view of the camera in real time. In this context the term real world image means an image taken from reality, such as a physical, real-world scenario using an electronic photo-capture technique, e.g. video recording. A camera 10 of a hand held device is aimed at a well-known object 12, which is recognisable to the device. A moving virtual image 14 of an actor playing the part of an historical figure, chosen because of its relevance to the object 12, is displayed.
METHOD FOR DELETING DATA FILES IN AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device, such as a digital camera, includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment, a digital camera keeps track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, deletion criteria are used to prioritize which images are deleted first.
METHOD OF DETERMINING INFORMATION ABOUT IMAGING POSITION AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a method for determining imaging location information and a device for performing same. A method for generating imaging position information may comprise the steps in which: a service server receives information on a plurality of frames from an image processing device; the service server determines each of a plurality of pieces of imaging location information on each of the plurality of frames; and the service server generates an image to be provided to user by post-processing the plurality of frames on the basis of the plurality of pieces of imaging location information.
SERVICE SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND SERVICE PROVIDING METHOD
A service system includes a mobile terminal and an information processing device capable of communication via a network. The mobile terminal includes a first transmission unit that transmits spherical images taken in respective imaging locations and positional information about the imaging locations to the information processing device. The information processing device includes a reception unit that receives the spherical images transmitted by the first transmission unit; a map data obtaining unit that obtains map data from a map data storage, the map data including the imaging locations of the spherical images; a path information creation unit that creates information about a path made by connecting the imaging locations in the map data obtained by the map data obtaining unit; and a content providing unit that makes content available for a request through the network, the content including the map data, the information about the path, and the spherical images.
Image processing device and image processing method
It is intended to easily generate an edited image from which various and natural feelings are obtained. Depth information of pixels in an image which is set as a processing object is used therefor. Reference depth information serving as a comparison reference for the depth information of pixels in image processing is set. In addition, an image editing process is performed using the reference depth information and the depth information of the pixels of the image which is set as the processing object.
