The present invention provides a device for aligning a plurality of line card connectors with a plurality of fabric card connectors using a lattice having a plurality of intersecting strips defining an array of framed slots.

Each cable manager unit includes a pair of side cable guides, each comprised of a plurality of finger-like projections extending forwardly from a support column. At least one of the pair of support columns has a socket arranged at a side thereof. Each cable manager unit further includes a separate midsection member capable of insertion into the socket for interconnecting the pair of side cable guides.

A rack and patch panel arrangement includes a rack having at least two mounting rails. The rack has a height width and depth. A patch panel is supported on a frame connected to the mounting rails. The patch panel, when mounted on the frame extends horizontally into the depth of the rack.

Each cable connector mount includes a brick spacer coupled to the brick plates and engaging corresponding cable connectors to secure the cable connectors in the frame space. Each cable connector mount includes a retainer clip snapably coupled to the brick spacer to secure the brick spacer to the brick plates.

A connector brick for a cable communication system includes a connector frame including brick plates defining a frame space and cable connectors received in the frame space. The connector brick includes cable connector mounts coupled to the brick plates and extending across the frame space. A solution is provided that can be used in a communication node. A case is provided that supports a first circuit board that is connected to a second circuit board via a connection. The first circuit board supports an integrated circuit module and the second circuit board supports a PHY module. A transformer box is mounted on the first circuit board and supports terminals for engagement with a mating connector. A third circuit board can be provided that is parallel to the second circuit board and is mounted on the transformer box so that termination of signals provided to the terminals can take place on a different circuit board than the second circuit board. The third circuit board can also provide power over Ethernet (POE) circuitry.
