20220103446 · 2022-03-31 ·

Embodiments are generally directed apparatuses, methods, techniques and so forth to select two or more processing units of the plurality of processing units to process a workload, and configure a circuit switch to link the two or more processing units to process the workload, the two or more processing units each linked to each other via paths of communication and the circuit switch.

Apparatus and Methods for Receiving Signals Using Optical Lens as a Beamformer

In certain embodiments, an apparatus includes a switch matrix and frequency band isolation circuitry. The switch matrix is configured to receive, at an input port, an electrical signal, which corresponds to a transmission signal received at antennas of an antenna array. The transmission signal corresponds to a transmission spatial sector of the array. The electrical signal includes first and second signal portions in first and second frequency bands, respectively, the electrical signal having been generated from an optical signal that corresponds to the transmission signal. The switch matrix is configured to direct, via an output port and in accordance with a control signal, the electrical signal to a first of multiple signal conversion paths.

NETWORK CONTROL METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM

This disclosure provides a network control method, an apparatus, and a system, to manage an IP network and an optical network together, thereby properly controlling use of resources of an entire network. The method includes: obtaining first link state information and second link state information, where the first link state information is used to indicate a link state of an Internet Protocol IP network, and the second link state information is used to indicate a link state of an optical network; determining third link state information based on the first link state information and the second link state information, where the third link state information includes the link state of the IP network and the link state of the optical network; and computing a path based on the third link state information.

TIME DIVISION MULTIPLEXING AND WAVELENGTH DIVISION MULTIPLEXING HYBRID DISTRIBUTION COMPONENT AND SYSTEMS

Systems and assemblies for providing both cellular and passive optical local area network (POLAN) data signals along a single, shared fiber optic backbone within an in-building network architecture are provided herein. Systems include a headend unit that combines data signals from a cellular network and optical line terminal (OLT) onto the fiber optic backbone, which is then connected to a series of daisy-chained fiber optic assembly units. An example fiber optic assembly unit includes an asymmetric coupler that splits an input fiber optic signal from the fiber optic backbone into an output fiber optic signal and a throughput fiber optic signal that is fed back onto the continuing fiber optic backbone. The output fiber optic signal is filtered into dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) channels for providing data signals to a wireless or cellular network and further split into multiple passive optical network (PON) outputs for a local area network (LAN).

Techniques to verify and authenticate resources in a data center computer environment

Embodiments are generally directed apparatuses, methods, techniques and so forth to receive a sled manifest comprising identifiers for physical resources of a sled, receive results of an authentication and validation operations performed to authenticate and validate the physical resources of the sled, determine whether the results of the authentication and validation operations indicate the physical resources are authenticate or not authenticate. Further and in response to the determination that the results indicate the physical resources are authenticated, permit the physical resources to process a workload, and in response to the determination that the results indicate the physical resources are not authenticated, prevent the physical resources from processing the workload.

PROVIDING SIMULTANEOUS DIGITAL AND ANALOG SERVICES AND OPTICAL FIBER-BASED DISTRIBUTED ANTENNA SYSTEMS, AND RELATED COMPONENTS AND METHODS
20220069909 · 2022-03-03 ·

Embodiments relate to providing simultaneous digital and analog services in optical fiber-based distributed radio frequency (RF) antenna systems (DASs), and related components and methods. A multiplex switch unit associated with a head-end unit of a DAS can be configured to receive a plurality of analog and digital downlink signals from one or more sources, such as a service matrix unit, and to assign each downlink signal to be transmitted to one or more remote units of the DAS. In one example, when two or more downlink signals are assigned to be transmitted to the same remote unit, a wave division multiplexer/demultiplexer associated with the multiplex switch unit can be configured to wave division multiplex the component downlink signals into a combined downlink signal for remote side transmission and to demultiplex received combined uplink signals into their component uplink signals for head-end side transmission.

SAFETY POWER DISCONNECTION FOR POWER DISTRIBUTION OVER POWER CONDUCTORS TO POWER CONSUMING DEVICES
20220077677 · 2022-03-10 ·

Safety power disconnection for remote power distribution in power distribution systems is disclosed. The power distribution system includes one or more power distribution circuits each configured to remotely distribute power from a power source over current carrying power conductors to remote units to provide power for remote unit operations. A remote unit is configured to decouple power from the power conductors thereby disconnecting the load of the remote unit from the power distribution system. A current measurement circuit in the power distribution system measures current flowing on the power conductors and provides a current measurement to the controller circuit. The controller circuit is configured to disconnect the power source from the power conductors for safety reasons in response to detecting a current from the power source in excess of a threshold current level indicating a load.
