Service processing method, control device, and storage medium
A method includes: determining, by the control device, that a site receives a first service; determining that a mapping wavelength of a first service is blocked on an original routing path, where the original routing path includes a first line board connected to a first local dimension, and a wavelength occupied by the first local dimension includes the mapping wavelength of the first service; and routing, by the control device, the first service to a second line board connected to a second local dimension, where the mapping wavelength of the first service is available in the second local dimension.
SELF-HEALING SUBMARINE LINKS

Each input may be operable to connect to a respective optical fiber of a submarine fiber optic cable, and a number of the optical fibers carry optical signals and at least one optical fiber of the plurality of optical fibers is an unusable optical path that is unable to carry a usable optical signal. Each output may couple to another respective optical fiber, and a number of the outputs may be designated as impaired outputs. Each optical switch module of the number of optical switch modules may be operable to connect an input of the number of inputs coupled to the unusable optical path to an impaired output of the number of the impaired outputs.
Routing of optical signals
A method may include obtaining a topology of an optical network. The topology may indicate multiple optical links within the optical network. The method may also include obtaining a routing metric for each of the optical links. The routing metric may be used in selecting routes through the optical network along the multiple optical links. The method may further include obtaining a signal noise tolerance of an optical signal to be routed through the optical network and adjusting routing metrics of one or more of the multiple optical links based on the signal noise tolerance of the optical signal. The method may also include after the routing metrics of the one or more of the multiple optical links are adjusted, determining a route for the optical signal through the optical network along two or more of the multiple optical links based on the routing metrics of the multiple optical links.
QUANTUM INTERNET ROUTER
Methods, systems, and devices for a quantum Internet router are described. A first network node (e.g., a quantum Internet router) may receive a command from a second network node by a digital information channel indicating a destination network node, a Bell State Measurement (BSM), and a pair of entangled particles establishing a quantum entangled channel between the first and second network nodes. The first network node may determine a third network node to forward the command based on a forwarding table and generate a second BSM based on a QSR operation and a second pair of entangled particles establishing a quantum entangled channel between the first and third network nodes. The first network node may forward, to the third network node, a command indicating the destination network node, the second BSM, and the second pair of entangled particles.
Optical routing system for free space optical communication
An optical routing system for free space optical communication is disclosed. The system has a transmitter and a receiver that use free space optical communication, and includes an optical path based on waveguide where an optical signal is routed from the proximity of the transmitter to the proximity of the destination. This system has advantages in terms of mitigating line-of-sight issues, as well as potentially reducing the overall coupling loss that would be otherwise incurred due to beam divergence of free space propagation for long distance.
A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ASSIGNING PERFORMANCE INDICATORS TO OBJECTS OF A NETWORK
A method of assigning performance indicators to objects of a network employing a computation to assign performance indicators to said objects of said network such that a sum of said performance indicators of objects along a given path in said network in relation to a first threshold value indicates whether said path fulfils a predetermined criterion, and/or indicates whether said path does not fulfil said predetermined criterion.
A method of evaluating a performance of a path in a network based on the performance indicators involves the steps of calculating a sum of performance indicators for said objects along said path and evaluating a performance of said path by comparing said sum against a first threshold value.
Techniques to configure physical compute resources for workloads via circuit switching
Embodiments are generally directed apparatuses, methods, techniques and so forth to select two or more processing units of the plurality of processing units to process a workload, and configure a circuit switch to link the two or more processing units to process the workload, the two or more processing units each linked to each other via paths of communication and the circuit switch.
Passive distribution system using fiber indexing
The present disclosure relates to systems and method for deploying a fiber optic network. Distribution devices are used to index fibers within the system to ensure that live fibers are provided at output locations throughout the system. In an example, fibers can be indexed in multiple directions within the system. In an example, fibers can be stored and deployed form storage spools.
Mutually secure optical data network and method
A digital optical data network system for improving information security in Passive Optical Networks (“PON”) by providing virtual information separation in the router, such as a premise router, or routers interfacing the entire PON, such as by utilizing virtual routing and forwarding, thus allowing safe data traffic between multiple carriers, service providers accessing the PON and multiple end users on the PON such as tenants in a building, employees of a business entity, or subscribers in a residential community.
SHORTEST PATH SEARCH WITH CONSTRAINTS IN NETWORKS
Methods and systems are provided for determining a shortest path with a constraint in an optical network. The method includes identifying a permitted number of events defined by the constraint. The method further includes creating virtual nodes for each node in the optical network, the virtual nodes corresponding with the permitted number of events. The method also includes traversing the virtual nodes from a source node to a destination node with a shortest path algorithm, wherein traversing the virtual nodes comprises creating virtual links between the virtual nodes when the constraint is not violated, the virtual link corresponding with a physical link; and identifying a shortest path between the source node and the destination node from the virtual links, the shortest path not violating the constraint.
