Leak detection system and method of making and using the same
A method of monitoring at least one leak detection sensor, the method including the steps of: determining via a communication hub a first state of a sensor comprising a first condition when the sensor is dry and a second condition when the sensor is wet; determining via the communication hub a second state representing an operability of the sensor; communicating via the communication hub each of the states of the sensor to a Graphical User Interface (GUI); and displaying, via the GUI, a representation of the first and second states of the sensor.
Sensing Device and Corresponding Apparatus and Method
A sensing device includes a barometric sensor, e.g., MEMS-based, and a processing unit coupled to the barometric sensor to receive therefrom a barometric signal. The processing unit is configured as a state machine having a plurality of states including an initial state and a final state with a set of transitions from the initial state to the final state. The transitions are triggered by the barometric signal reaching one or more triggering thresholds. The processing unit may include an expert system sensitive to state data and altitude data from the state machine for recognizing the final state being reached.
OBSERVATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OBSERVATION SYSTEM
An observation system includes: a power supply unit having a battery; a sensor unit which detects a state of a structure on the basis of electricity from the power supply unit; a charging unit which charges the battery from renewable energy; and a processing unit which processes sensing information in one observation mode of a plurality of observation modes including at least a first observation mode and a second observation mode in which at least one of a sensor capability of the sensor unit and a load of computational processing using the sensing information is higher than in the first observation mode. The processing unit sets an observation mode on the basis of information for disaster occurrence estimation.
MOBILE ENVIRONMENT MONITORING SYSTEM
An environmental monitoring system having a monitoring device, a cloud-based server, mobile devices, remote sensors and hardwired sensors, such that each of the system devices is configured to communicate with the rest of the system and the mobile devices provide user access and control. This system provides a comprehensive hardware and software solution designed for complex environment monitoring applications. It collects and analyzes various environmental parameters, allowing for the results to be displayed on a smartphone and for the data to be transferred to a server for further processing and monitoring.
ULTRA-LOW POWER, MINIATURIZED ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS FOR MONITORING PHYSICAL PARAMETERS WITH WIRELESS COMMUNICATION CAPABILITIES AND APPLICATIONS OF SAME
An electronic system for monitoring a physical parameter includes an ADM comprising an accumulation mode sensor for measuring the physical parameter by generating electrical energy associated with the physical parameter in response to a surrounding condition, and an energy storing device coupled to the accumulation mode sensor for accumulatively storing the generated electrical energy; a power source; and an SoC coupling with the ADM and the power source, configured such that the stored electrical energy is monitored, and when the stored electrical energy is equal to or greater than a pre-defined threshold, a wake-up event is generated to trigger the SoC to operates in a run mode in which the physical parameter is wirelessly transmitted to a receiver and the stored electrical energy in the energy storing device is discharged, and then the SoC returns to a sleep mode in which a minimal power is consumed.
CONNECTED CLIMATIC SYSTEM
A climatic system includes a climatic apparatus and a local network, in particular wireless. A computer is linked to an internet network access router. The climatic apparatus includes a communicating device to transmit on the local network an item of information relating to its manner of operation. A method for implementing such a climatic system is also provided.
Test Equipment Interface
Systems and methods for a test equipment interface are described. The test equipment interface includes a test equipment device and a wearable device that are in wireless communication with one another. The wearable device displays information collected or measured by the test equipment device. As a result, a user can operate the test equipment device while receiving measurements. The wearable device may include a smart watch, a pair of smart glasses, a cellular telephone, or a tablet. The test equipment device may include electrical test equipment, machining tool, welding machinery, or a medical measuring device. The test equipment interface may operate using voice recognition technology. Additionally, the test equipment interface may have text-to-speech functionality, such that measurements can be audibly communicated. The test equipment interface may also include an application that displays, stores, analyzes, and catalogs any information taken by the test equipment device for later review.
Receiver circuit and method for its operation configured to start the reception of data signals after a delay
A circuit system includes: a receiver circuit which outputs a periodic voltage pulse via a bus line; and an ascertaining device configured to ascertain whether the voltage on the bus line has reached a specified threshold value. The circuit system is configured to start the reception of data signals a specified time period after an instant at which the voltage on the bus line has reached the specified threshold value.
System, method and apparatus for remote monitoring
A monitoring unit for security and automation in a premises are described. The monitoring unit uses remote configuration and control to enable monitoring of a premises. The monitoring unit provides multiple monitoring functions to respond to events within the space and alert a user at a remote device like a smartphone. An image sensor provides a wide field of view which can be segmented on the mobile device to enable specific areas to be viewed enabling the user to view the area and be alerted when an event occurs based upon a rules based configuration.
Detecting device interfering with security device
Wireless signals may encounter interference, and features herein include features for identifying and handling such interference. Signals from various wireless communication devices may be received, and it may be determined that an interfering device is interfering with at least one of the wireless communication devices. Actions, such as remedial actions, may be taken accordingly.
