DAISY CHAIN TWO-WIRE SENSOR MEASUREMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD

A daisy chain two-wire sensor measurement system includes one or more slave modules, a master module and a daisy chain wire. The one or more slave modules are connected to one or more sensors, and configured to modulate a detected sensor signal into the corresponding current signal. The master module is successively cascaded to a first slave module, an upper-stage slave module, and a lower-stage slave module in the one or more slave modules through the daisy chain wire to form a daisy chain sensor network, and interconnected with an upper computer through a communication wire. The daisy chain wire is configured to supply power and transmit the current signal obtained by the slave module through modulation, such that the master module obtains and then decodes the current signal on the daisy chain wire to obtain the corresponding sensor data. A daisy chain two-wire sensor measurement method is further provided.

Apparatus and Methods for Hygiene Monitoring in Restaurants and Grocery Superstores

This disclosure describes methods and apparatus for hygiene monitoring in hospitals and drug stores. One sub-system use a combination of radio frequency tags attached to the staff, RF tag readers and infrared/proximity/motion/microphone/touch sensors installed over the faucet and dispenser to monitor if the staff wash their hands properly after going to the restroom. The forth sub-system automatically generate drug expiring label for opened drug container based on RF tag worn by the staff or attached to the container. The system generate and print the label whenever the staff gesture their RF tags in front of them and potentially scan the container bar code or select it from a drop-down menu on its touch screen. The last sub-system can also monitor the inventory of drug/medicine container in the refrigerator and provide a report or alert when they the time gets close to expiration date.

Method and system for collecting data supplied by sensors

A method for collecting data delivered by sensors each containing a measurement element, which sensors are equipped for radio communication and include a device for storing and preparing measurement signals recorded by the respective measurement elements for the transmission of the signals, and an autonomous power source. The method includes the following steps: recording successive raw measurement data corresponding to time-stamped, elementary measurement units of at least one physical or physical-chemical variable or parameter delivered by the measurement element of a particular sensor; in each sensor concerned, storing the raw measurement data in the memory device of the sensor; transmitting the unprocessed raw measurement data in compressed form via a radio link; and collecting, storing and evaluating the raw measurement data transmitted from a multiplicity of sensors in a remote central processing facility.

Method and device for operating a battery-operated smart metering meter

A method and a device are used during battery operation of a smart metering meter equipped with a consumption sensor and a transmit clock generator for a radio module for transmitting consumption data packets, in the event of a decreased residual capacity of the battery, to determine if the data packets can be transmitted as previously with the residual capacity over the residual time period until a scheduled battery exchange at the end of a specified operating time period. If not, the transmit power, for example, of the data packets is reduced and/or their transmit clock is extended over the residual period. This determination, along with a control specification, are preferably performed in a concentrator and are transmitted to the meter by using bidirectionally operating radio modules so that computer capacities required therefor need not be retained in each individual meter of a supply area.

The first set of sensors and the second set of sensors are mounted on a vehicle. The processor is further configured to provide the one or more sampling rates to the second set of sensors and store data from the second set of sensors in the storage memory.

INFORMATION TERMINAL, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, AND PROGRAM
20210376952 · 2021-12-02 ·

The present technology relates to an information terminal, an information processing device, and a program that make it possible to find out that an installation status has changed. The information terminal transmits information at predetermined time intervals. The information terminal causes information that is to be transmitted in a normal state of installation to be transmitted in a case where, after a return from a sleep state, a flag indicating whether or not an abnormal state of the installation has been detected indicates that the abnormal state has not been detected, and causes information different from the information that is to be transmitted in the normal state to be transmitted in a case where, after the return from the sleep state, the flag indicates that the abnormal state has been detected. The present technology can be applied to a home communication system.

Antenna, in particular mobile phone antenna

The present invention relates to an antenna, in particular a mobile phone antenna, in particular for a mobile radio base station, having at least one emitter, a data acquisition unit, a memory and having at least one sensor for detecting a mechanical and/or electrical and/or thermal stress of the antenna, wherein the data acquisition unit aquires measurement data of the at least one sensor and temporarily stores them in the memory. It is provided here that the data acquisition unit generates data packets based on a plurity of measurement data stored in the memory and transmits them to an external data base.

CONTROLLING AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE TO SAMPLE AND TRANSMIT SENSOR DATA
20220201080 · 2022-06-23 ·

An electronic device that includes a power source and a wireless transmitter is controlled by a method. The method predicts a magnitude of surplus energy in the power source under the assumption that the electronic device is operated in accordance with a default schedule over a time period. The default schedule defines sampling of sensor data from at least one sensor and transmission of the sensor data by use of the wireless transmitter. The method further determines, based on the magnitude of surplus energy, a modified schedule that results in sampling of an increased amount of sensor data per unit time compared to the default schedule, and configures the electronic device to operate in accordance with the modified schedule for at least part of the time period. The method increases availability of sensor data without compromising the mission of the electronic device.

A system for detecting and verifying an environmental anomaly within a shipping container (transported on a transit vehicle having an external transceiver) has wireless sensor-based ID nodes at different locations within the container and multiple command nodes mounted to the container. A first command node is programmatically configured to be operative to detect the sensor data broadcasted from the ID nodes; responsively identify the anomaly based upon the sensor data detected by that command node; and transmit a validation request to another command node. The other command node is configured to be operative to also detect the sensor data broadcasted from the ID nodes; receive the validation request from the first command node; verify the anomaly in response to the validation request and based upon the sensor data detected by the second command node; and broadcast a verification message based upon whether the anomaly for the shipping container is verified.
