BONE CONDUCTION SPEAKERS
The present disclosure provides a bone conduction speaker, comprising: a vibration assembly, the vibration assembly including a vibration element and a vibration housing, the vibration element being used to convert an electrical signal into a mechanical vibration, the vibration housing being used to contact with a face of a user and to transmit the mechanical vibration to the user in a bone conduction manner to produce a sound; and a resonance assembly including a first elastic element and a mass element, the mass element being connected to the vibration assembly by the first elastic element, wherein the vibration assembly causes the resonance assembly to vibrate, the vibration of the resonance assembly weakening a vibration amplitude of the vibration housing.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING BEAMFORMING AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes, for the purpose of determining a customized beamformer filter, an input module including a plurality of microphones configured to receive an external sound signal, a memory configured to store computer-executable instructions and an initial value of a voice parameter used to perform beamforming on the external sound signal, and a processor configured to execute the instructions by accessing the memory. The instructions may be configured to estimate a feature value of the external sound signal, calculate the initial value of the voice parameter used to perform beamforming based on the external sound signal received by the plurality of microphones, determine whether to store the calculated initial value according to the feature value, determine which one of the calculated initial value or an initial value stored in the memory used according to the feature value, and obtain a target voice parameter.
SOUND APPARATUS
A sound apparatus can include a vibration member; a housing at a rear surface of the vibration member; a connection member disposed between the vibration member and the housing; and a vibration apparatus configured to vibrate the vibration member. The vibration apparatus can include at least one piezoelectric element for producing sound. Also, the connection member can have a first stiffness that is less than a second stiffness of the housing, and the vibration member can be isolated from the housing by the connection member.
WEARABLE DEVICE
According to various embodiments of the disclosure, an electronic device may includes a housing, a speaker module disposed inside the housing, a microphone module disposed inside the housing, and a support member including a speaker hole, a speaker support section having the speaker module disposed on a first surface thereof, and a microphone support section having the microphone module disposed on a second surface thereof opposite to the first surface. The microphone module may be disposed to be spaced apart from the speaker hole.
Portable listening device with accelerometer
An earbud includes a housing that includes a driver assembly positioned within the housing forming a front volume in front of the driver and a back volume behind the driver. An acoustic insert is positioned behind the driver assembly and attached to an interior surface of the housing such that it forms a bass channel that is routed from the back volume to a vent in the housing.
Method for manufacturing a hearing device
A method for manufacturing a hearing device is disclosed. The hearing device comprises a speaker, a first chamber, and a sound channel arranged between the first chamber and the surroundings of the hearing device or a second chamber. An element of a thermoplastic material being in a solid state is arranged in the sound channel. A laser light is applied to the element to thereby activate the element to change from the solid state to a liquid state. The element then changes from the solid state to the liquid state filling out a cross-section of the sound channel and thereby sealing the sound channel. Finally, cooling of the element is allowed leading to a change of the element from the liquid state to solid state while filling out the cross-section of the sound channel.
Tactile Interface System
A system for indicating a direction to a user is disclosed. The system may include a first unit and a second unit to be worn proximate to a first ear and a second ear of the user respectively. The system may indicate a direction to the user through tactile sensations delivered proximate to the ears of the user by the first and second units. The system may also include microphones to aid in determining the direction of a source of a sound and the system may indicate the determined direction, thereby allowing the user to localize the sound. The system may also function as hearing aids. The system may aid individuals with hearing disabilities by alerting them to the direction of the source of a sound.
BASEBALL PITCH SELECTION COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A system for communicating pitch selections wirelessly from a wireless transmitter has a coded signal generator that generates coded signals in accordance with selected pitch types. A receiver decodes the received coded signals, selects an audio file based on the received coded signal and generates an audio signal announcing the selected pitch type based on the transmitted selected pitch type in accordance with the received coded signal. The audio signal is transduced by a bone conductor transducer so that the player can hear the announced selected pitch type through bone conduction.
MICROPHONE ARRAY WITH REAR VENTING
Microphone arrays (MAs) are described that position and vent microphones so that performance of a noise suppression system coupled to the microphone array is enhanced. The MA includes at least two physical microphones to receive acoustic signals. The physical microphones make use of a common rear vent (actual or virtual) that samples a common pressure source. The MA includes a physical directional microphone configuration and a virtual directional microphone configuration. By making the input to the rear vents of the microphones (actual or virtual) as similar as possible, the real-world filter to be modeled becomes much simpler to model using an adaptive filter.
EARPHONE WITH SOLID BODY
In an embodiment, an earphone having a solid earphone body is provided. A first mounting recess is formed in a first end of the earphone body. A first acoustic driver is disposed in the first mounting recess. At least a first sound bore is formed in the solid earphone body. The at least a first sound bore fluidly communicates with the first mounting recess and a first exit port formed at a second end of the earphone body. The second end of the earphone body is configured to be placed in an ear canal of a user. The earphone can be fabricated by a method that includes defining negative spaces for the first acoustic driver and the at least a first sound bore in a virtual model of the earphone body.
