Hearing device, accessory device, and a method of operating a hearing system comprising a hearing device and an accessory device is disclosed, the method comprising obtaining, in the accessory device, an audio input signal representative of audio from one or more audio sources; obtaining image data with a camera of the accessory device; identifying one or more audio sources including a first audio source based on the image data; determining a first model comprising first model coefficients, wherein the first model is based on image data of the first audio source and the audio input signal; and transmitting a hearing device signal to the hearing device, wherein the hearing device signal is based on the first model.
METHOD OF FITTING A HEARING AID GAIN AND A HEARING AID FITTING SYSTEM
A method of fitting a hearing aid gain (100) adapted to take the vent effect into account. The invention is also directed at a hearing aid fitting system adapted to carry out said method.
HEARING DEVICE WITH FEEDBACK INSTABILITY DETECTOR THAT CHANGES AN ADAPTIVE FILTER
An adaptive feedback canceller of an ear-wearable device has an adaptive foreground filter that inserts a feedback cancellation signal into a digitized input signal to produce an error signal. An instability detector of the device is configured to extract wo or more features from the error signal. The instability detector has a machine learning module that determines instability in the error signal based on the two or more features. The instability module changes the adaptive foreground filter in response to determining the instability. The change causes the adaptive foreground filter to have a faster adaptation to perturbations in the error signal compared to a previously used step size.
Hearing device with end-to-end neural network
A hearing device is disclosed, comprising a main microphone, M auxiliary microphones, a transform circuit, a processor, a memory and a post-processing circuit. The transform circuit transforms first sample values in current frames of a main audio signal and M auxiliary audio signals from the microphones into a main and M auxiliary spectral representations. The memory includes instructions to be executed by the processor to perform operations comprising: performing ANC over the first sample values using an end-to-end neural network to generate second sample values; and, performing audio signal processing over the main and the M auxiliary spectral representations using the end-to-end neural network to generate a compensation mask. The post-processing circuit modifies the main spectral representation with the compensation mask to generate a compensated spectral representation, and generates an output audio signal according to the second sample values and the compensated spectral representation.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HEARING ASSESSMENT AND AUDIO ADJUSTMENT
An audio system for user hearing assessment includes one or more audio capture devices, and processing circuitry. The one or more audio capture devices are configured to capture audio of a conversation of a user and convert the audio to audio signals. The processing circuitry is configured to use the audio signals to identify multiple conditions associated with user hearing difficulty. The conditions include any of words, phrases, frequencies, or phonemes, and environmental audio conditions that are followed by an indication of user hearing difficulty. The processing circuitry is configured to generate a hearing profile for the user based on the identified conditions associated with user hearing difficulty. The processing circuitry is configured to adjust an operation of an audio output device using the hearing profile to reduce a frequency of user hearing difficulty if the user requires audio enhancement.
Method for audio signal processing on a hearing system, hearing system and neural network for audio signal processing
Methods, hearing systems and neural networks for audio signal processing are described. A hearing system comprises a neural network. An input audio signal is processed into an output audio signal at least partially by means of a processing unit of the hearing system. The audio signal processing of the input audio signal includes executing audio signal processing by the neural network for performing a step of the audio signal processing, determining a confidence parameter resembling the reliability of the audio signal processing by the neural network and steering the audio signal processing in dependence of the confidence parameter. A particularly suitable neural network is configured to solve a regression-based acoustic processing task and additionally determining the confidence parameter.
