DEVICE AND METHOD FOR IMPROVED INDUCTION OF NOISE BY MEANS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
Provided herein is a device for improved induction of sound by electromagnetic radiation, comprising a carrier layer; a first substance having a reflective property with respect to electromagnetic radiation having a predetermined wavelength spectrum; and a second substance having an absorptive property with respect to electromagnetic radiation having said predetermined wavelength spectrum; wherein said first substance is disposed in a region between said carrier layer and said second substance. Furthermore, a corresponding method is provided.
Power management features
A method performed by an electronic controller includes determining a charge level of a power supply configured to provide power to a medical device, and estimating, based on the charge level of the power supply, a first power supply life for operating the medical device according to a first mode. Further, the method includes estimating, based on the charge level of the power supply, a second power supply life for operating the medical device according to a second mode. As recited, operating the medical device according to the first mode has a different power use or consumption characteristic from operating the medical device according to the second mode. The method also includes generating a notification indicative of the first power supply life and the second power supply life.
Hearing device
This hearing device, for example, includes a vibrator for transmitting vibration corresponding to a voice signal to the nasal bone of a user to let the user hear sound. The hearing device may further preferably include an eyeglass-type housing for carrying the vibrator in a position at which a nose pad is provided. The hearing device may also preferably incorporate a voice signal reception unit for receiving, wirelessly or by wire, a voice signal generated by an external sound source, or an internal sound source for self-generating a voice signal. When implementation as a hearing aid or a sound collector is contemplated, the external sound source or the internal sound source may preferably be a microphone for collecting ambient sound.
Bone conduction speaker and compound vibration device thereof
The present disclosure relates to a bone conduction speaker and its compound vibration device. The compound vibration device comprises a vibration conductive plate and a vibration board, the vibration conductive plate is set to be the first torus, where at least two first rods inside it converge to its center; the vibration board is set as the second torus, where at least two second rods inside it converge to its center. The vibration conductive plate is fixed with the vibration board; the first torus is fixed on a magnetic system, and the second torus comprises a fixed voice coil, which is driven by the magnetic system. The bone conduction speaker in the present disclosure and its compound vibration device adopt the fixed vibration conductive plate and vibration board, making the technique simpler with a lower cost; because the two adjustable parts in the compound vibration device can adjust both low frequency and high frequency area, the frequency response obtained is flatter and the sound is broader.
Eyewear with flexible audio and advanced functions
Eyewear providing flexible audio to a user. The eyewear includes a frame having two temple arms. The frame also has a front rim retaining two lenses. The eyewear also includes an open ear speaker for firing directional audio to an ear of a user, thereby providing semi-private audio to the user. The eyewear may include a wireless connection to another smart device or network.
ANCHORING FIXTURE WITH IMPROVED CUTTING CAPABILITY
An anchoring fixture for anchoring a prothesis to a skull bone may comprise a screw thread apparatus including a screw thread having a varying outer diameter and formed along a longitudinal length of the anchoring fixture; a flange configured to function as a stop for the anchoring fixture adapted to rest on top of the bone when the anchoring fixture is implanted into the bone; at least a main relief chamber formed into a portion of the screw thread having a first side along the longitudinal length that is curved shaped, and wherein the anchoring fixture is tapered over at least a first portion of the longitudinal length of the anchoring fixture and where the first portion is arranged at a distal end of the anchoring fixture, and where the distal end is opposite to the flange.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING INTEGRATED INERTIA SENSOR AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
According to various embodiments, an electronic device may include: a housing configured to be mounted on or detached from an ear of a user, at least one processor disposed within the housing, an audio module including audio circuitry, and a sensor device including at least one sensor operatively coupled to the at least one processor and the audio module. The sensor device may be configured to: output acceleration-related data to the at least one processor through a first path of the sensor device, identify whether an utterance has been made during the output of the acceleration-related data; obtain bone conduction-related data based on the identification of the utterance; and output the obtained bone conduction-related data to the audio module through a second path of the sensor device.
Contact hearing device and retention structure materials
Hearing aid devices, methods of manufacture, methods of use, and kits are provided. In certain aspects, the hearing aid devices comprise an apparatus having a transducer and a retention structure comprising a shape profile corresponding to a tissue of the user, and a layer of elastomer.
SOMATIC, AUDITORY AND COCHLEAR COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
Methods and devices to deliver a tactile speech analog to a person's skin providing a silent, invisible, hands-free, eyes-free, and ears-free way to receive and directly comprehend electronic communications. Embodiments include an alternative to hearing aids that will enable people with hearing loss to better understand speech. A device, worn like watch or bracelet, supplements a person's remaining hearing to help identify and disambiguate those sounds he or she can not hear properly. Embodiments for hearing aids and hearing prosthetics are also described.
ADVANCED TOOLS FOR BONE CONDUCTION IMPLANTATION
A device, including a body including a torque transfer section and a torque receiver section, wherein the device is a bone conduction hearing prosthesis bone fixture implant insertion device configured to interface with an interior of the bone fixture, and the device is made of a same class of materials at the torque transfer section and the torque receiver section and section(s) that interface with the bone fixture.
