UNIVERSAL ADJUSTABLE EAR TIP
20190116412 · 2019-04-18 · ·

An audio device for insertion into an ear canal of a user that includes an adjustable ear tip. The ear tip is formed by a sleeve disposed on a body of the audio device with a first end of the sleeve coupled to an output end of the body. An opposite second end of the sleeve is coupled to a collar that encircles and threadably engages the body. In a retracted state, the sleeve lies alongside an exterior surface of the body. Rotation of the collar relative to the body moves the collar axially along the body and flexes the sleeve radially outward away from the body. An extent of rotation of the collar is selectable to provide a radial dimension of the sleeve and thus the ear tip that provides a suitable fit of the audio device with a user's ear canal.

Hearing aid

A hearing aid includes a shell for accommodation of a signal processor for processing an audio signal into a processed audio signal, and a receiver that is connected to an output of the signal processor for converting the processed audio signal into an acoustic sound signal, and a flexible elongated member with a first end attached to the shell, and a second free end, wherein the flexible elongated member comprises a lumen for housing a wire that is for providing current to an electronic device, the flexible elongated member having a shape for stabilizing the shell relative to a user's ear.

Article with internal light source for fitting in-situ and related devices and methods

Articles and related devices and methods for fitting in-situ include a flexible sleeve, a housing assembly fixed to the flexible sleeve, a light source disposed within the flexible sleeve, and a photocurable resin contained within the flexible sleeve. The flexible sleeve may be elastomeric. A transducer may be disposed in the housing assembly.

Method of manufacturing assemblies for hearing aids

The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a receiver-in-canal assembly. The method comprises the steps of providing a receiver housing configured to be positioned in or at the ear canal of a user, and further being configured to comprise a receiver configured to output sound; providing a connector housing configured to be connected to a behind-the-ear part of a hearing aid; and providing an elongated tube configured for transfer of a signal from the connector housing to the receiver housing. In a further step the receiver housing and the connector housing are attached to opposite ends of the elongated tube. Subsequently, the tube is permanently deformed after attachment of the receiver housing and the connector housing to the tube by exposing it to heat in a first predetermined treatment period.

EAR INTERFACES AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIA

An ear interface is described. An example ear interface comprises a proximal portion and a distal portion, a first opening at the proximal portion, a first cavity and a second cavity extending away from the first opening. The first cavity has a first partial generally capsule shape, and the second cavity has a second partial generally capsule shape. The ear interface further comprises a second opening at the distal portion and a passage extending from the first cavity to the second opening. Methods of manufacturing ear interfaces are also described. An example method comprises receiving a digital representation of an ear impression and creating, based on the digital representation, a mold structured to form an ear interface. The mold is filled with a biocompatible material, the mold and the ear interface are separated, and a surface of the ear interface is finished.
